I've gone through several generations of document holders, but either they fall apart or constantly get in the way. The standard design for these things includes a long arm from which the page is suspended. This is usually the source of problems.This product’s minimalist approach does away with that long arm and thus meets my needs exactly. Note that I work with only one or two printed pages at a time perched alongside my display -- these gadgets won’t hold a lot of pages at once.These sturdy, adjustable document holders are designed to clip onto your display. My View Sonic display is one inch thick, and that is nearly the maximum for the grabbers on these holders to engage. The grabbers are softly surfaced and will not scratch your display's edge.Apart from freeing up desk space, document holders make a writer's life easier by holding the printed pages being referred to at eye level, adjacent to the document on the screen. Compared with having to look down onto your desk and re-focus on the document lying there, these holders let you switch back and forth between display and document by barely moving your neck. Because they're side by side, your eyes do not need to go through a refocus as you refer from screen to printed page and back. As the day goes on, you do not get as fatigued as when referring to documents on your desk. These document holders are definitely a productivity boosterI cannot find a downside to these holders for my work needs. And, the price is right. Highly recommended!

They function exactly as I had hoped. Nothing more, nothing less. They are plastic, and so they perform light duty work as intended. If only they were made of METAL, then they would be able to handle more difficult tasks. i will continue my search for such an item, but in the meantime, these will suffice!

These worked perfectly for what I needed them for. They swivel in all different directions which were great for my purposes and held securely to the pipe that I used. I looked forever at different clips for documents and these just fit great for my odd needs. ALso there's 2 of them which is even better!

I got these for my large screen at home for school work. These are great because you can clip them anywhere on your screen and the holder is really adjustable so you can use pretty much anything in them. I am sure that they would work for a number of things but for what I need it for it is really nice.

The back of my monitor bevels down and the clip would not adhere to the top of my monitor. I was able to clip it to the side of my monitor. Less convenient for my standing desk, but workable.

These have one side-to-side rotating joint, but they need a 2nd one. The one they do have will let you twist side to side, but that doesn't do me much good. That only lets you twist a document to face to the side/off center of your field of vision. Therefore, as it is, it can only hold a document directly in front of your monitor, so how is that supposed to work? If you use it, you can't see your screen.If you try to hang it to the side of the monitor, that would work except for 2 reasons:1) the arms aren't long enough to stick out to the side far enough to center a document... which could still work with a light-weight document, EXCEPT THAT...2) I wouldn't trust this to use on my monitor or laptop. the laptop-mounting side's clamp is ironically TOO strong. I think it could damage it, and it's not worth the risk.You could reverse it and use the paper side on the laptop/monitor, but the "arms" are different lengths and on that side they aren't long enough to hold paper more than an inch away from the screen, so most of the paper would stick out into the air and fall down. And besides that, the paper-side clip is too weak to even keep the holder itself from falling off/down.Would have returned, but missed the return window before I realized the flaw. Instead, I decided to write a review.

This is a good idea but if your desktop has a rounded type of edge, it won't adhere or remain clipped to it. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me.
