Great purchase for safety!
Perfect for my 18hh TB who can throw his head up in the trailer and knock his poll. I feel a lot more comfortable trailering him with this on, and he looks quite hilarious in it.

Not protecting the forehead - have to modify to make it work
My Arab colt hit his forehead on the window bars and has a permanent dent in his scull now. So I bought 2 different brand of trailering head protection and both are not protecting the forehead. I have to modify them and put elastic straps on each to connect to the halter noseband so it would stay where my boy needs protection. I will add pictures when I made the change.

Haven't used yet, but...
Ordered head bumper for upcoming transport. The bumper was supposed to be covered with leather — doesn't feel like nor smell like leather to me. As for protection, it's thick, so should protect.

Leather is very thin and felt isn't as thick as I'd expected. I've seen much sturdier head bumpers. When I saw the package I knew it wasn't going to be satisfactory...looked like a magazine.
