It's a fan and it works
Picked this up as a replacement for a completely different looking part on a Kenmore fridge. It plugged right in and worked like a charm. I did have to find a spot to clamp the ground to, but that's no problem. I was a little worried about the noise level, due to some of the negative reviews. This one is quieter than the compressor though. So no complaints there.

Poor quality motor, noisy after a few hours
As others have noted, the quality on the motor bearing seems to be very hit or miss. The motor I received appeared to be working fine for about four hours. Then the vibration started, then the screeching. Suspect the motor bearing is not designed to work at 0 deg. F.But it was cheap, and it did come the next day. This fan did confirm the problem was limited to the evaporator fan (cold freezer, warm fridge). It bought me enough time to locate and order a substantially more expensive OEM evaporator fan.

Works great!
This motor is awesome! I gave it a good while before writing a review since a lot of people noted that it was incredibly noisy after a short period of time. I have had it installed for over a month now and it is rocking on like a champ. Way better than calling someone out or replacing my fridge. A good YouTube video can take you through installation.

Fan functions, but is noisy
I installed this fan (and also another nearly identical model) and it does circulate air as expected. However, within weeks the fan began to screech and whine intermittently. To temporarily stop the noise, i coated the fan's rotor with some silicon spray, but this would only stop the noise for several days. After a few months, I replaced this fan with an OEM evaporator fan from an appliance parts store. No more noise!I would suggest buying a genuine OEM approved fan and not roll the dice.

Product good, packing terrible.
Packing was atrocious and non existent. The motor bounced around in the box during transit and broke the plastic and one of the spade lugs for attaching the wires. I didnβt have time to wait for a replacement so I super glued the plastic and re soldered the wire from the motor coil to the spade lug and installed the motor in the refrigerator. Motor worked great after my repair and fixed the problem. Five stars for the motor and zero stars for the packing.
