I’ve been a wetshaver all my life, and this is my favorite shaving cream. I haven’t tried every cream on the market, but I have tried many.This cream is for use with a shaving brush. The scent of this product is amazing. It’s slightly understated but I’ve never smelled anything like it. The smell is what I imagine it would be like to roll around in a field of wildflowers in the Alps. The consistency of this cream is the best. It’s slick, moisturizing, protective, and helps whichever razor/blade you are using, function at its best.There are only a very, very few creams I have used which are in Speick’s league: the original Proraso, Trufitt and Hill’s lavender (sadly discontinued), Tom’s of Maine mint shaving cream (also long discontinued), and Taylor of Old Bond Street’s Avocado. You wouldn’t go wrong with any of these but Speick is at the very top IMO. It’s hard to beat Proraso’s lathering magic (it just keeps on producing copious amounts), but Speick is pretty close and I like its scent and consistency, better than Proraso’s. Also, this cream is a real value. Speick could charge three times the price and it would be worth it, IMO. If you are a wetshaver who uses a brush you owe it to yourself to try this cream.

I have used well over a dozen shaving products, some cheap and some very pricey, and this is definitely the best. It only needs a very thin layer to give a smooth and comfortable shave. It rinses easily but leaves your skin feeling conditioned. I have very oily skin and worried about feeling greasy but that didn't happen.

Time passes, I got older, and I experienced dry skin after shaving with aerosol foam. Time for a change. I'm glad I chose Speick. Easy to apply and an incredibly smooth shave with no irritation. This is something to try.

Good shaving cream. Good value. Perfect size for carry on.

I shave my head and face and have tried a lot of different creams and foams. These range from off-the-shelf big brands to hand crafted boutique creams. This product is better than all of them! It’s a rich cream that smells great and it allows a very close but smooth shave. I’ve been using it for years. It will start to “dry” if you leave it on your face or head for a few minutes but just add a little water and it’s good to go. I’m spoiled now and can’t use anything else.
