It’s smaller diameter than I expected but I think this size is better. You can get a great grip on it. It’s really solid, I doubt you can bend it with just your hands. Installation was really easy. I put the top connection on the wall and attached the two inch straight pipe and the elbow. Then I just put the whole rail all as one on that and attached the middle and lower connections to the wall. It was open box to on the wall ready to go in about 15 minutes. I used a power tool to make the holes in the wall but like I said I never measured anything. It looks decent and definitely doesn’t look like anything flimsy. I could probably hang on it with full weight without tearing away from the wall. There is a small amount of rust at the threads but I really don’t think that matters. As long as it doesn’t bubble the paint. Looks good feels solid, I’m happy.

I needed something for this tall wall. This turned out better than expected. Very sturdy. Well made. All parts were included in packaging.

SO this is a nice item when installed correctly. Something to think about when installing this rail is will you have a stud for the brackets to hit. In my case that was not the case. I hit maybe three studs from the install. Which made me have to figure out how to make the rail actually useful and sturdy as opposed to just a decor item. The screws that are included are garbage the. Used a total of 1. Had to purchase hardware elsewhere. IN some locations of my mounting I had to use toggle anchors to sturdy up the system. You may need a rubber band wrench to tighten and not mar the surface. The sturdiness after the mounting is done is variant on how snug each part is within the connecting points. I had originally gave higher marks in terms of install but after writing this review came to the conclusion that the item isn't so sturdy amongst its install. Last remark s that I don't feel that the rails diameter is big enough where as my wife feels its sufficient it just does not give you that grab feeling being thick enough.

Good quality, very strong and durable

The castings are very rough with some sharp edges. The paint is doing its best to hide the crimes, and struggling. I suspect, but cannot confirm, casting porosity. The threads are very crusty and shallow. I very rarely return items, but I returned this item. I would not trust this as a handrail. Maybe it could be used as a plant hanger? I don't know. Nothing safety critical.

Bang for the buck this product is excellent. Parts went together smoothly, and mounting was easy
