Buy an aftermarket microphone
I bought this and installed on my truck without issue and it is very loud but the microphone it comes with is very muffled. If you try to talk to someone through it, they would not understand you or just barely.The microphone has a 3.5mm input jack so I simply bought another walkie-talkie microphone with the same input jack and the sound is much better. So if you are thinking of returning this simply because your voice is muffled through the microphone, I highly recommend just buying another microphone and keep the system. Most of the systems on Amazon will come with the same cheap microphone so you will have similar issues.

Loud and proud
Purchased this to use as a joke. Turned out to be a fun purchase.The horn is quite loud. When running behind stock exhaust orb’s it is loud enough to hear. When running behind after market, does not seem loud enough for others to hear. But all in all, great product. Fun addition to the buggy!

The sound doesn't sound like a real police siren. Very cheap handheld microphone.

This is no toy. This is the real deal. Load AF.
It’s so dang loud it scared the bejeezus out of me when I was testing it. It can be heard for blocks away. It is not a toy, this is just as loud as any police car. And so simple to hook up a teenager could do it.

Installed in my truck
Very fun to use. Works well. It says not to install it under the hood but I did anyway. It may muffle the sound a bit but not too bad.
