Excellent Sound And Performance
It's been a week since I installed the NVX VDA 11005, and I have found myself wanting to sneak away to my car for a listening session just to appreciate and absorb the improved sound fidelity over my previous amp.The NVX replaced a failing Pioneer 5 channel amp that had slowly been reduced to two channels over the past 5 years. It's the second popular name brand amp that has failed me in the last ten years, so I decided to try this amp and see what happens. I obviously cannot speak to longevity yet, but the improved sound quality...man...it's noticeable.Installation was a breeze as I already had everything in place. It has a slightly smaller footprint than the Pioneer which is nice. Wiring was straight forward and easy. The only catch is that the power and ground inputs have a little trouble accepting my 4 gauge wire which was a bit surprising. It's not as clean as I would like, and I'll probably revisit it soon.Tuning was surprisingly quick relative to my previous amps. I was able to get the sound right in the pocket without much fiddling with gain and filters. The subsonic filter may have something to do with the quality of sound. Neither of my previous amps had this feature and I suspect that my 12" subwoofer was having to work harder than it should have, trying to produce sound that it isn't capable of handling. The result is a cleaner, warmer, and thumpier base that is less directional and more consuming. It's less a shower and more a bath of sound now.I have 6.5" components up front, coax in the rear deck and of course the 12" sub in the trunk. There's plenty of power to each channel, and really, the stock satellite speaker wiring is probably limiting me at this point. The sub is a 4 ohm DVC wired in parallel to run at 2 ohm which the 5th channel gladly supports. The remote bass boost knob let's me push the sub as hard as I want to but I don't care to know the limit or come close to it. It's plenty of power for my liking. Btw, I would recommend using a capacitor to ease the power draw on your battery.Overall this is a fantastic amp for the money and is a huge win for NVX, which is a Sonic Electronics in house brand from what I understand.Nice.

FEEL THE POWER!
Finally got a small footprint amp for my DIY ammo can speaker build. I am using it "full range". Install and connections were a breeze. The input sensitivity pot was turned down out of the box...had to turn it up. No big deal.THE GOOD:- Powerful-powerful-powerful (150w RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms) is an understatement.- Clean. I was worried about Class D amplification sounding choppy or weak...this amp is pure butter- Small. Perfect for ammo can builds or where space is limited- Efficient power and power consumption...won't bleed your battery downBOTTOM LINE: I have 40+ years working with amps and speakers and have a "critical ear". This amplifier is a beast of power, clean sounding, and does the job vs amplifier costing 3x as much (and larger Class A/B amps). You'll be surprised how powerful it is and what it can do.UPDATE (23 Sept 2020)- It does run very warm if left on all the time. "Hot" if you are thumping high volume levels. You might consider mounting this amp with good air ventilation and on a surface that won't be impacted by the heat. Still 5/5 stars...it hasn't let me downUPDATE (11 May 2021) - Bought a second one and bridged two of these amps in one of my ammo can builds. TWICE THE POWER! So, now I am running well over 300 watts (RMS) @ 4 ohms. These amps are beasts of power. Get this...using a standard 30-amp fuse and 10 AWG power cables. zero issues. These amps sound great. Again, I thought Class D amps would not produce clean sound, I was wrong

Top Shelf Amp, Lower Price Point, My Harley is Happy
This amp really woke up the Kenwood 5 3/4" speakers I had in the fairing of my street glide. I thought they were crappy speakers, so I bought this amp with some Diamond Audio speakers to get my sounds right. It sounded good with the old speakers (tested with them so as not to risk hurting the new and expensive ones). It sounds GREAT with the DA 6.5"s. I am only using 30% gain. This could run four more speakers if desired. Fit perfect on a bracket I made right above the radio. Really looks like DA's amp and it would not surprise me if it was the same unit for half the cash. Really happy with this badboy!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY
I only started using NVX products in the last year, but let me tell you, their amps are absolutely the best value for your money. I own the NVX VAD1700.1, VAD1100.5, and the VAD1000.4 and they have all performed beyond expectation. The sound quality is amazing and the power is a true rated RMS. Several of the NVX amps have been dyno tested on Youtube if you need proof of their ratings claims. The amp does get warm, but that has not translated into any complications or issues for me as I can run my system at 3/4 volume for an extended time and the amp has never shut off or gone into protect, which is true of all of the NVX amps I own. I would recommend mounting it with spacers, like 1/4 inch thick rubber feet pads to create some extra air flow space under the amp, but that's a personal preference thing for me as I have always done that. These amps are also very compact for the amount of RMS power they put out and can easily be installed in locations such as under a seat or behind a trim panel with no modification. The other thing to know about these NVX amps is that they utilize a SUM OUTPUT. This means that you must have the left AND the right RCA going into the sub woofer channel RCA inputs of the amp from the head unit. If your head unit only has one sub RCA pre-out or if you are splitting the left rear channel RCA for your sub, you will want to make sure that you connect a "Y" adapter at the end going into the amp. If you fail to do this, you will only get half the volume or less from the amp. I have found this to be true for all NVX mono and five channel amps. You can't buy a better quality true RMS amp than these NVX VAD models for your money. If you're on the fence, get off of it and pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed.
