Yes they are, but they are nice quality brushes

Q: how can i tell the differnce between the oil brushes and the other?

Oil brushes are bristle and the harder types the softer ones are best used with acrylic and the ones that are very,very soft are used for water Conor. You can use bristle and soft can be used in oil and acrylics. Sometimes you just have to experiment with the brushes. There are also some bristle brushes that feel soft. Each brush will do things differently. I hope I didn’t confuse you and I bought this set of brushes and I really liked them.
