Useful for training!
We bought this collar as our trainer required it for their training. Overall, I am very happy with it. We had issues initially with the collar randomly turning off but when I reached out to the company they were able to send us a new one and we have had no issues since. I find that it is fairly durable and we've used it in rain and snow with no issues. The only things I would also recommend is to add a tracking device (airtag or something similar) to it as I know someone who had lost theirs and we recently had it fall off our dog (we were luckily able to locate it though). Overall, happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Awesome adjustablility
I also got the "wings". Wire-hair pointing Griffon responds to level 6 of 100. I have to wet my fingers to feel anything at a 10. I tried a sport dog TEK series 2 but the GPS connectivity was intermittent and I had random dead batteries so I sent it back. I tried the Garmin Pro550 e-collar but the shock level was too high. This unit is amazing. I do have to "seat" the collar but manipulating it back and forth to make sure the prongs are connecting to skin. I will experiment with moistening the area, but for now once I rotate it a bit and ensure it is adjusted tight enough it seems consistent. It seems to me very important to not "overshock" as my dog is sensitive and responds well. I could even get her to turn around from chasing deer albeit I had to hit the boost which is +5 so a level 11. She has never yelped from it unlike the Garmin.

I have a whole new dog
I was resistant to the idea of an ecollar until I began to actually understand how it works. This is not a shock collar. It provides TENS simulation that works amazingly to grab the attention of your dog.My dog (Arlo) is high energy, stubborn and has a high prey drive. Walking him off-leash wasn’t an option because the second he saw another animal, he would be gone. Not to mention his excitement around kids, jumping on adults and bad leash habits. We worked hard at training, but nothing was really working until we tried this ecollar. Our trainer showed us how to set it up, but we actually learned so much from watching videos on YouTube (check out Bethany from Walking Dog Training). We still have lots to work on, but the changes are immediate. We tried the collar on ourselves and we’re so surprised that the settings we use on our dog can’t even be felt by humans. We had to turn it up way higher to feel anything. And even then it’s not a shock, it’s like a weird stimulation feeling. Our dog is getting to enjoy our activities and walks way more, no more yanking a leash or using a prong collar. He’s such a sweet dog, but his love of people and high energy is just too much! I’m so happy to have the ecollar. Some tips:Read the manual and watch the videos before you even start. We started indoors making Arlo go on “place” and progressed to “look at me” and “heel”. We did short sessions at first. He only needed the collar at 5 at the beginning. The manual and videos helped with this so much. It was exactly the same thing our trainer told us.Keep the remote with you all the time. Don’t give any important commands without it. The more you use the collar, the less you need to use it down the road.Don’t go too high in the settings. A friend of mine has the same collar and now her dog just shrinks down whenever they use the collar because she accidentally used it too high. It’s not only sad, but it’s made the collar ineffective for her. The dog isn’t listening, just cowering :(Don’t try anything too bold right away. We worked on basics for months before we let him off leash, and even still we aren’t letting him off in any area we may see another dog. It’s setting him up for failure. As he masters one thing, we move forward. It’s crazy how much we thought he was doing well until we got this tool, now I can see he’s so far improved.I find the remote a bit big for my hand. I’m used to it now, but at first it was uncomfortable to hold for a long walk. I bought a cute lanyard that goes around my wrist. Anyone with small hands, I totally recommend this. The blue collar in the photo is handmade in Ottawa, Canada by my friend - Pepper and Bean Adventure Co - on Instagram. Find us there too @ Arlo.meets.world! We’re going to be sharing some training videos now that we’ve started getting good with our ecollar. Also, I plug in my collar and remote every night. The manual says don’t let it die, and the videos I’ve seen from others say they charge it nightly as well. So easy! So worth the money. Whatever your dogs needs are, I think this is a perfect tool.

Excellent Warranty - Make sure you register your collars on their website
Update 2, March 2022:I finally got around to installing the new battery only to discover that the collar won't charge once again, 2 days after installing the new battery. I decided to contact E-collar again to report the issue. They apologized that the new battery didn't correct the situation, and they sent me a NEW COLLAR, no charge and free shipping. This was totally unexpected!! I am impressed with the company. If you buy their collars, even from Amazon, be sure to register your products on their website! Warranty is good for 2 years from date of purchase.Update 1, Feb 2022:After not using the non-functional collar for 6 months I finally got around to contacting E-collar Technologies to see how to buy a replacement battery. It turns out that when I got the collars last year I went and registered the collars on their website for warranty and had totally forgotten that I did that. They already had my name in their system. The rep I spoke to on the phone mailed us a new battery free of charge and no shipping cost. I was happy with that.Original review, Purchased this in January 2021:This worked flawlessly for both our 2 Weimaraners. However, 6 months later one collar is blinking red and will not charge, it is now useless. This was quite an expensive purchase, not impressed. The other collar still works.
