It folds away .
I use it as a seat in the kitchen which folds under my cabinet neatly. I also use it as a step stool.Very sturdy and attractive design.Thank you Amazon.

Solid stool, perfect height
I bought this for my mother as we were going on a vacation and she can not walk continuously, thus need to take frequent breaks. This was a savior, we could easily carry this with us and whenever she needed a break, it would unfold to take rest. Very sturdy and perfect height for her to get up without support.
