Trial will help to master this - dilute more than suggested
Dilute both - moulding and casting poweder 10-15% more than suggested to increase settling time and to give it a more finished look and this will also help in avoiding bubbles.Keep some casting powder besides as the final cast may need to be fixed for some broken pieces (as clay is very soft and tends to break may be while handling or keeping it for drying)
