Batteries in and operates correctly without any need to set up. Perfect for what I need and considerably cheaper than the original. Quality feels slightly lesser but it functions correctly.

Bought as a backup remote for my Philips Android TV and it mostly does the job.The plastics are solid, and ALL the buttons are the tactile/clicky type which I like way more than the squishy membrane type buttons.As you can see from my pictures the internals are super basic, a one-sided PCB with a single chip, inside a mass-produced casing that unfortunately means a useless Alexa button and Mic hole.Note that this listing does not mention those functions neither, nor would I expect them for the price. Look elsewhere and pay more for those4/5 for a basic cheap remote that feels much better quality than other knockoffs

The media could not be loaded. Perfect replacement for the original, works great and didn't cost a fortune. So happy, might buy another couple as we keep losing them and the app for tv sucks.

We have had this remote for a few months now and my children affectionately refer to it as “the bad remote”. It just doesn’t work half the time, you may have to press a button 10 times before it actions what you’re asking for! Still, it IS a spare, and it can be used in an absolute emergency, although it often leads to angry outbursts as it’s so frustrating. Definitely don’t recommend.

This remote is good for replacing damaged remote however I noticed that the pair button doesn't work which doesn't allow me to use the voice search feature

My original got sat on and split apart. The original had a qwerty keyboard on the back it just wouldn't click back together without tape and glue. This replacement doesn't have a keyboard (I never used it) or microphone but all the functions work on my Philips 8 series TV.Most frequently used buttons are in the same position as the original so there's no confusion with muscle memory and it is half the price of a generic universal remote. Only negative is that the materials are of a lower quality than an original remote so the buttons feel light and clicky but that's the trade off for it being a tenth of the price.UPDATE December 2024: Ever since a software update to my series 8 TV I'm unable to turn the TV on from standby using the remote. I have to press the power button on the side of the screen. Not a big inconvenience but something to be aware of.
