Genuine Genuine Toyota Brake Light/Stoplamp Switch 84340-69025

Every time I touched my brake pedal, my 2006 Toyota 4Runner would light my dash up with ABS and traction control lights (four dash lights total). After extensive searching trying to figure out what was going, I found a forum thread that mentioned this little part right here. I decided to try this out since the dealership wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount just to search for the problem. It was very easy to unplug the old and plug in the new, took no more than 30 seconds. My ABS and traction control lights have remained off ever since this part has been replaced. Works perfectly.

Had a few lights on on the dash (Check engine, ABS & Track lock) & read in a forum this was the culprit with intermittent brake lights failure & sure enough it fixed it. Too about 3 minutes to install.

This is the third switch I purchased , the other two were cheaper and lasted about 10 days each.This OEM switch (so far) is working well.Moral: don’t buy cheap parts.

Great product. On 03-09 4Runner the install is pretty simple. Twist the sensor and remove. Install the new one by firmly pressing into the holder. Make sure you slide in the same distance. If you slide too much it'll prematurely press the pedal. Removing the existing collar is very difficult on 4Runner so don't bother.

We were getting 3 lights on when we pressed on the brake pedal. My brother-in-law is a mechanic, and he was able to diagnose the problem for us. I was able to replace this and since we didn't we haven't have the lights come on. I guess this is a common issue on the Gen 3 Rav4.InstallationWhen installing this make sure you are careful and see how the one you are replacing is. It comes with a threaded screw that has to be at the same length when installed so your lights come on at the same time as they did before.

Received part in a timely manor!! Just installed. ABS/VSC/TRAC Control code lights are off. I will update this review as soon as I’m confident this stop lamp switch was the cure. The code I was reading was stop lamp switch open circuit.

I recently picked up a generation of 4Runner that I have wanted for years. I was fortunate to find a one-owner truck locally, with impeccable service history, that needed some light TLC to be perfect. One issue was that the traction control and abs lights were coming on at random. After reading through forums, I found it could be related to a number of issues, but in some cases this sensor can be a cheap and easy fix.I ordered this replacement and installed it in within five minutes… The issue was resolved! I have driven 5,000+ miles since the install, with ZERO issues. I saved so much money by not replacing needless parts.
