Versitile and sophisticated
I've been using Autoenginuity's software for a number of years. I never really liked it and it ran on a standard laptop (typically not built to be hauled around in a car or garage). I also keep Bluedrivers in my glove boxes. As a code reader, this exceptional. I picked up two body codes on a 2015 Ram that Bluedriver never saw. Included explanations for the codes were useful, but not fully complete. You'll still have to hit the internet to get the details on a given code. I don't consider this a deficiency by any means. Just reality. You get a ton of cables and connectors. It took me several minutes to figure out how to get the Bluetooth OBDII connector out of it's protective sleeve. There's nothing in the manual about how to hook things up. Getting all this stuff back in the box takes a bit of work. The good news is that for 99% of your work, you'll only need the OBD connector and the main unit. The OBDII connector comes in a protective pocket that attaches to the main unit. Push down on it to get it to pop out about 1/2 an inch. Then pull. It took more force than I expected. Very convenient - until you try to put them back in the case. You have to dismount the protective pocket to get this all back in the case. If I could close the case with it attached to the unit, I'd never take it off.Running tests and actuating systems: So far, I haven't found any factory functions that this won't do. Awesome! The case is quite large, but I wouldn't give anything up.
