Favorite "berry"
I like to eat these with walnuts to sort of, help them go down easier lol. I mean, walnuts are super healthy and eating them daily is probably the single best thing I've ever done for my health beyond walking my dog three times per day, but it's sort of like choking down chunks of candle wax. Well, berries are tough because they're so high in sugar, eating them can easily kick you out of keto if that's something you're going for, or they're simply too high in carbs if you're just generally being carb concious. These little guys are more like sweet and sour tomatoes than any berries you're familiar with-they are lower in sugar and higher in fiber than any other berry I can find. Goji berries are a close second, and I eat those too. But goldenberries are unique in other ways too: They contain compounds called "withanolides" which are the main beneficial component of ashwaghanda root, and which are being studied for their anti-cancer effect, among other things. They are also an amazingly rich source of mixed carotenoids, just like tomatoes, with a single serving containing up to 40% of your vitamin A needs per day. Oh and they also contain a decent dose of vitamin C. Sounds great right? Well, the flavor is unique to say the least-the closest thing they taste like is Sweet Tart candies, so they really go well with walnuts because their strong flavor makes it much easier to get them down. I actually like them so much I purchased seeds and currently have about 30 goldenberry plants about to go in my garden. Give them a try and maybe you'll be motivated to grow some next year!

A Strangely Addictive Superfood
The Incan goldenberry aka the cape gooseberry is native to Peru and has been growing in the Andes for thousands of years and traditionally has been used to help various ailments like asthma, edema, throat afflictions, gastro-intestinal issues, intestinal parasites, and various skin conditions. The goldenberry is a superfood that is packed with highly beneficial vitamins and nutrients. It is an excellent source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Complex B Vitamins, Phosphorous, and Bioflavonoids. The goldenberry is also very high in protein making it an excellent protein source for vegetarians and those looking to reduce meat from their diet.So how do they taste? These dried goldenberries are similar in texture to a raisin and are chewy like a raisin but they are more tart rather than sweet. If you like tart granny smith apples, I think you will like the tangy aftertaste of the goldenberry. I find that goldenberries are delicious eaten alone but I also enjoy putting them in a trail mix I make with almonds, raisins, sesame sticks and pretzels. They are also delicious with frozen yogurt and add some much needed pizzazz to my morning oatmeal. My wife and I absolutely love these goldenberries and finished our first bag within a week and just purchased another one. We are hooked.

The product is very good, but…
I keep getting bags of it delivered, but cannot find it on subscribe and save, or any place to delete future deliveries🤷♀️ A few of these go along way, and I have a long way to go before I’ll finish

Food to Live's Organic Dried Golden Berries changed my life.
Dried golden berries changed my life. And Food to Live offers the biggest, juiciest, most delicious, and best priced I've had yet. Since I am literally addicted to these things, I buy the 4 pounder from Food to Live and save up to $1.30 per ounce. Swap them for cranberries on a salad, or just eat them instead of candy at the movies. Incredible value and awesome flavor -- perfectly tart with a sweet finish -- love these. Food to Live rocks.

They're quite good, but a bit too sweet for me
I found these in a mix from a subscription snack service called Graze and thought I'd try them on their own. They're quite good, but a bit too sweet for me. So, in fruit mixes they will stay. Otherwise better than raisins.

Way too tart for me, but might work in baked goods or salads.

perfectly tangy
I am very happy with this product. I wasn't sure if it would live up to what I was expecting. Ive only had Sunfood brand golden berries up until now, and these are lovely. I have been snacking on them all morning, delicious! perfectly tangy. I read some other reviews that mentioned some were too dry, I haven't had any like that yet. They are all great! very satisfied with this purchase.
