Quiet running
My son loves trains and this one did not seem too expensive, Lego-wise that is. He likes this one and had no trouble assembling it. The tracks snap together for storage as well which I have not seen before. I thought that was a good idea.

Great for adding to my modular city
I’ve been buying a lot of the modular buildings and I have decided to display them together and add roads and vehicles. This train set was a wonderful addition to a growing sprawl, I prefer this over the passenger train due to it feeling a bit more unique for my small city. This Lego thing is turning into a real addiction though…

Great set
A bit plain and simple and repetitive for the cost. Would be adaptable to a much younger age. Returned due to cost.

Good design but fails to meet the standard of classic LEGO train releases from the 1980's and 1990's
A word of warning, the train operates on expensive AAA batteries, Don't even bother using rechargeable batteries, they're not worth the effort by the time you pry open the battery box (screwdriver required). This reviewer wishes that LEGO would return to the classic electric-powered train sets of the 1980s and 1990's.
