I bought one of these lights several years ago, and liked it so much, I bought more. So useful and extremely handy and easy to use.As a camping tool, these are light weight, easy to use, and work great. Both inside and outside a tent and camper, they provide needed light. They are easily charged from either a vehicle USB or a portable battery charging unit or a small solar charger. While camping, one grandchild wanted a night light. We turned one of these on low power and it was still going strong 11 hours later. In the tent, the bug zapper ran quietly all night and cleared the air.As a home tool, these are also great. Not packed away with camp gear, but left strategically around the house, in the event of a power outage, they can provide efficient, long lasting, and low cost portable lighting. My original 4 are kept charged, and during a power outage, they provide ample lighting after dark for so many needs. One provides temporary lighting for the hall and stairway, while another for the living room, and the third in the kitchen/dining area. The forth is used as a carry about unit wherever needed. Sure, we could use flashlights, and we do, but these light weight lights can sit on a shelf or other support and just be left alone to light up an tremendous area. The most recent purchase of 3 new units now allows one unit to be left in each bedroom.As a bug zapper in the home, we recently got to test them out. We were inundated this year with extremely small flying bugs that managed to work their way though the screen openings. Finding the bugs a real irritant, I turned on 3 of the zappers and by morning the air was totally void of bugs. A couple of taps and a fairly strong hair dryer blower and the units were all clean.

I. Bought this primarily for use when we were at outside events. I have in the meanwhile changed it and set it various places in the house. The reason for 4 stars is the charge doesn't last as long as I'd like. I did figure out that it could be charged and used at the same time. So it sits plugged in and turned on all the time and from the picture you can see it zaps the bugs. The light works as well but I only turned it on to test it

I hung this product out on my terrace. It’s an enclosed space between two buildings in San Francisco. It doesn’t get a lot of wind or sun exposure but I have a bunch of flies that keep returning. The fly trap hasn’t worked, the only thing that has a staying raid out there every time I want to sit down and enjoy the terrace.I hung up this little flies up her for three full days, and it hasn’t caught even one fly.It’s easy to charge small and compact and has a nice light feature. But it doesn’t work at all for me.

I purchased one of these to test out based on reviews. I like to sit on my unscreened backyard patio but the bugs in FL are ridiculous to totally enjoy it. I liked that this produces light AND bug zapping. The device wasn’t working for me when I used it in the day and afternoon so I thought it was a dud. I hung it up in my laundry room which leads to the garage area to see if it would catch any of the gnats/ mosquitoes that came in the house via the garage.Boy did it! So the device works but it looks like it’s only useful in the dark - not the day light, or afternoon hours which is what I need. Love the fact that it washes clean and I just charge it overnight so it’s ready when I need it.

The battery life is definitely not 30 hours, it's more like 10 for just the UV lamp. These had to be recharged every day for overnight use.The lack of remote controls makes them kind of difficult to use if you need some kind of schedule or regular on/off cycle. Doing it manually isn't ideal in today's world. They would probably be good for portable, temporary use outdoors on trips.Water seems to get into them when washing, there's definitely sloshing around after doing exactly what they want - running water over them to wash bugs off.Performance is actually good - small insects do get attracted to and killed by this product.Overall, not worth the price. Get yourself something larger and with some kind of timer you can set up for permanent use, but these can be helpful if you remember they're going to die faster than advertised between charges and may actually get wet internally...Never stare at the light or use where people, pets, or plants will be - should go without saying.

It really does work! It killed small knats, flies and small moths in our bedrooms and in the kitchen of our home. After you kill a lot of bugs you’ll want to clean it which is easy to do. Close the charger plug compartment door. Rinse under a sink to remove zapped bugs, and air dry. Once dry you can use again.I purchased this because it was a good deal and was inspired to try it out after seeing various internet ads for different brands with similarly designed products that serve the same purpose to zap bugs. Charge via USB once per day and it lasts at least all night plus a few more hours. Highly recommend if you have issues with small bugs getting through the screens of your house or moths.

Overall these are useful and effective (see picture), but failed after the first few uses. I recommend buying the multi-pack so you have at least one backup. They would be much better if the protective housing screwed off to allow cleaning. The compact size and rechargable battery means they're very easy to take camping or to a cabin.
