No, the internal battery is rechargeable and not user replaceable.

Can't say, but I use it daily to give signals, and hasn't needed a charge in two weeks. And it's bright. If I could afford it ide buy 3 more.

It's super bright. 900 may be hyped but for its size, it puts out some major light and little heat. I would guess 600-750 lumens.
