Despite being vegetarian my cholesterol level was high so I (reluctantly) had to take Statins. I researched and decided to buy this product. I’m not usually a fan of supplements, believing minerals and vitamins should be provided from food but this product is different. Statins suppress the production of ‘bad’ cholesterol but unfortunately they also suppress the production of Q10 which is highly beneficial to us . It’s always difficult to see whether or not supplements are working - there is always the ‘Placebo Effect” - but I only know I felt terrible when I ran out and stopped for about 2 weeks. I felt lethargic and depressed. For a while I didn’t connect this to stopping Q10 but did when these feelings disappeared on restarting this product. That was sufficient evidence for me. It is reasonably priced too and arrives really quickly. I really don’t think evidence supports taking the more expensive Ubiquinol.

I know that my husband's heart is being better protected taking this (100 mg) as he is on statins and it seems it is vitally important to take CoQ10 when on them.I have three chronic conditions and take 200 mg and have been taking it since 2016. This is not a cure, I always knew that (!), but I believe it has helped somewhat with the general fatigue.I am impressed by the facts that it is made in the UK, suitable for vegans, easy to swallow, competitive price, quality assured, premium grade, some money gets donated to charity and has no side effects for either myself or my husband.The customer service is superb too as it delivery.Thank you NU!

Coq10 is needed by every cell in your body but unfortunately you produce less and less the older youget also Fluoride significantly reduces your Coq10. So if your Coq10 has been depleted by Fluoride or Statin drugsand you are of a certain age you will not replenish it naturally so you need to supplement.Coq10 is needed for energy on a cellular level and for optimal brain and heart function. Coq10 has manyfunctions in the body and is also needed to help your body deal with stress, anxiety and depression and controlsblood sugar levels.I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue Syndrome and I have just started taking iodine first and now Coq10 -because of the fluoride connection to fibromyalgia and within a week of taking the iodine my muscles softened and brain fog disappeared.So now I am hoping the Coq10 will help with the fatigue but it's still early days so I will need to update this review in a while.UPDATE:I have also been taking PQQ as it's good to take the two together. I have only noticed a slight increase in my energy levels but moreimportantly I have noticed that when I use up energy doing everyday things my energy doesn't get totally depleted as it did beforeand I don't have to wait days or even weeks for it to replenish which is amazing as I can do so much more.

I can't say these did anything at all for me, hence the rating. (Perhaps they did, perhaps they didn't.) I have ME/CFS and am also hypothyroid so even a slight boost in my energy would have been noticed and there was none noticeable. I know many people with my conditions rate CoQ!0 as a go to supplement, but whether it was the brand, or whether it was my unique biochemical makeup, for me, it was money down the toilet.
