This is by far the best Bluetooth controller available
Turned up earlier than expected, so that was a real bonus (Thanks Amazon).I had got by Samsung VR and my S7 Edge and all that was lacking was a controller.I had previously used a Moga Pro controller but had sold it and that was fairly average. This is by far the best Bluetooth controller available.....in my opinion.Simply put the batteries in, flick the power to on and press pair and it immediately paired with the S7 Edge,set-up time 2 minutes from taking out of the box. This is a high quality controller and is extremely well made and look and feels really nice, it is the perfect size. The button layout is just as any other gaming controller so it is easy to use when you have your VR headset on, no more having to lift the VR of your face and fumble for buttons. This is super responsive and highly accurate and works with every game in my VR library and it worked with the games that did not require a game pad as well, so that was an added bonus. You can also navigate all through the menus using the controller, I have just been using it for the last 3 hours and not once have I had to touch the track pad on the VR headset....BRILLIANT!!!So does this work with the S7 Edge.....YES!!!!Does it work well with the Samsung VR headset......YES!!!!Is it worth the money.....YES!!!!This is a fantastic controller and I would highly recommend it 10 out of 10*

High quality design classic.
Excellent game pad, two years old now and it still works like a charm, considering it’s age it’s still the go to game controller so somethings are actually as good as they can get, looks stylish and it is of a high quality. It works with a Samsung GearVR, my PC and also my HTC-VIVE so it’s fully Steam compatible, it’s got smooth movement and reliable buttons, the management software lets you customise it a bit too and makes it easy to update the firmware. If this is for a PC, ie; Steam games you will need Bluetooth on your rig as it doesn’t come with s dongle.

Avoid like the plague
The controller is a good size and shape. and has truly amazing build quality. The buttons are good and it has a nice D-pad.Which is a rare thing these days.HOWEVER it is a piece of garbage that does not work properly on steam or PC in general. The drivers or apps do nothing and steelseries does not support their products properly.Works fine on android though. But then you could just buy an 8bitdo instead.

Good controller
This works on Samsung Gen 2 VR or just your phone and can navigate with ease but some apps won't respond or will work in tandem with touch pad on the side of the headset like I had to use touchpad to open a door or collect something in a game, but I think this more to do with apps having good controller support. Overall it is a good bit of kit and works also with PC but make sure you download Steelseries engine 3 and then plug into PC when prompted to update firmware before trying to connect to anything. I did get it to work on steam big picture the only issue now and then when turning on controller is the Steelseries engine 3 software refuses to see my controller even though PC says connected same with steam big picture so I just remove device in PC bluetooth options then repair device and good to go this will only take 10 20 seconds. If you hold both thumb sticks down for 5 seconds then you can use it as a mouse and do same again to turn off mouse function. Just for fun also tried to see if it worked on the amazon fire stick and it does but not always perfect. A good cross platform controller may need a bit more tweaking on the firmware as I feel a slight delay sometimes and interference but pleased overall.

Good quality, but very expensive
A must for Gear VR gaming, and the controller is fantastic quality, sturdy and well put together, but the cost of this item is ridiculous when compared with the price of a PS3/4 controller. Not sure how this price can be justified.

Good controller for Gear VR with a premium feel
Bought this for use with my Samsung Gear VR. It connected instantly to the phone, and works really well with the VR games. This controller feels really nice in my hands. It feels weighty and premium (I assume there's just a chunk of metal in it, because the casing is plastic, but it feels good). Included in the box were two AA batteries, so I could use it right away.Yes, it is pricey, but it works well. No complaints.

Okay as a back up. Xbox wins IMO...
I have been using the stratus for gaming on my laptop as its easier to have it connect through bluetooth than to connect my Xbox reciever every time.First impressions are quite good. The packaging is really nice and it all looks very well presented. Inside are two AA batteries and the controller, so good to go.Upon handling the controller my first impressions were that it feels kind of cheap and also looks a bit cheap. This suprised me because its the same price as an Xbox controller.Set up was fairly quick, bluetooth connected in under 30 seconds but I did have to download steelseries software and connect the controller via usb to perform a firmware update. Not a problem, all in all about a 10 minute set up.Now on to how it games. Well after years of using Xbox controllers I have to say I was pretty dissapoonted with the Stratus XL. The thumb sticks are too high for my liking and indent too deeply. They are also too springy and dont really respond very well. The D-Pad is stiff and flat and sometimes feels like youre not pushing anything. Now on to he triggers....well they are just not great, not great at all. Again they are too springy and waaaaay too responsive. I found myself pressing them by accident because of the way they sit in my hand.On a plus you can modify sensetivity with the Steelseries software. But for me it still wasnt enough...I wish I had something really positive to say about this controller but I dont..and im pretty sad to have to say that as it looks great on paper.I am currently using it as a back up for when I have friends come over and for light gaming on my laptop. In my opinion, go buy and xbox controller for PC gaming. They are the same price and are so much better.
