Rust-Oleum 400ml Stone Spray Paint - Mineral Brown

I tend to use a fair few textured spray paints in various arts and crafts projects, as I find they generally cover well, are easy to apply and give a nice even finish.This mineral brown (third from left, in third photo) gives a roughly textured finish and goes on smoothly, though I found it needed an undercoat first to get the best effect. Coverage wasn’t the greatest, which can be the way to be with some textured paints in my experience, so it’s worth thinking about getting a couple of cans if you plan spraying anything much larger than a lamp, or two.It also works well on rusty metal (just make sure you remove any loose rust rust with a wire brush and dust off, before applying. Again, with a primer/undercoat first). Works on plaster too.The colour is quite a lot darker than in it appears in the first two photos (it is closer to the colour shown on the lid in the third photo. Sort of a dark-ish chocolate )Nice textured finish.Good stuff.Recommended(In the third photo, I have also tried to approximately rank, in texture, the paints I have used, with the most highly textured on the left, to least textured on the right. Sprayed my stone hearth because I wanted a dark colour to not show up the stains from dirty wood and ash. Was so easy and the finish is just like stone effect abs textured. Dries really evenly although took a few days to fully dry. I did two coats and sprayed some on the lid to touch up edges with a fine paint brush. I used 1 and a half cans.

will not spray ,cant return, Rustoleum customer services no help. Avoid

Stone effect spray which looks like stone. I sprayed a large urn planter and after 3 coats it literally looks like stone!

not great. difficult to use and get a good effect.

Used on inside of chimney so I can install a wood burner, Covers imperfections in plastering well but did need numerous coats so ended up using four cans, maybe I should have used a undercoat?

Could not get photo frames in the finish I wanted so bought black ones, rubbed them down and sprayed with this paint. Love the textured finish.
