Took this on its first trip to the coast today a mixture of motorways, dual carriageway, country lanes and it was flawless, it rained on the journey but everything was bone dry.I mounted mine to an Astra K 5 door 2017 plate, it fits beautifully on top just the right dimensions and the securing straps fit perfw toy and securely tightly, comes with an anti slip mat too which is excellent, it's now folded up in its storage bag ready for the next trip, excellent product a must buy if you want a roof box but have nowhere to store such a huge piece of plastic!! This is the answer.

I was a bit out off buying this as all the reviews are from -" vine coustomer review of free product" BUT I needed it and it looked good and strong this didn't let me down. You can fit so much in compared to a hard roof box. I did a 500km in very heavy rain and everything inside stayed dry. Folds away very small for stotage. Open all the way around with hinging at the back so great access for filling. Highly recommended. Hope this helps you.*****Update 26/07/23*****Added some photos to show what it's like fitted and how much you can fit in. I have just found one flaw and I'm not sure how it didn't happen on my last trip but the middle strap that passes through the car if you don't have roof bars the water can soak through and stain the roof hedder fabric ( I added a photo of it when it happened). I stopped this by putting a bag between strap and fabric, you will still get some drips but shouldn't stain the roof. This being said I still wouldn't do without it great bit of kit.

I bought the 21L and discovered that it is the perfect size to go on top of my ERDE/Maypole SY150 Trailer. I had intended it to go on the roof of or VW Transporter, but actually its even more flexible given it can fit on the trailer. Solid Construction, drove 4h30 from Cornwall to Wiltshire on M5 and M4 in heavy thunderstorms and no water ingress. I would have loved a few extra straps with hooks and some extra length on the staps, but I made it work. Easily swallowed up al the camping chairs, table, body board and trolly + storage box of dog stuff and all the dirty washing. Probably added 25-33% extra to the trailer.

I used this on my Ford Galaxy. It was tricky to load due to the height of the car and it took 2 of us to load and secure down.We drive in 3 hours of rain on the motorway and the bag didn't move and everything stayed dry.I've folded it away and it goes neatly in the bag provided.I was nervous using this especially as the hooks didn't seem robust, but I needened have worried.It was well worth the money and easier to store than a roof box.

Bought this to try for a camping trip over Easter. It is absolutely brilliant. So easy to attach to the car, stays in place, and easy to adjust.Didn’t use the strap that went through the car so can’t comment on that. But make sure that the straps are tight and any excess strapping tucked in and there’s no noticeable noise.

It’s 100% waterproof and very sturdy. Unfortunately it did drip rain in the car via the straps but we just tied bags around it to stop the drips. Definitely worth the money though.

Arrived on time and well packaged. Used for weekend trip so far, it was easy to set up and stays well in place even when stuffed full. We don't drive with it empty as it would tend to flap around, but it is so easy to put up and take off that it is not a problem. So far only used for softer items, but as they are harder to store it is ideal. We have ridge rack on our car, so it was easy to attach to those, but don't know how well it would work if you have to take straps through windows. Might try it sometime.

Worked well, managed for suitcases plus some extra bits. Zips stood up to a lot of punishment and things stayed dry.
