I thought the product seemed well designed, since there are two little staircases attached to the house which allows the hamster to climb on top. This means you have room to put the hamster's food bowl or wheel on top of the house, saving space in the cage. However the front entrance to the house seems far too small for a syrian hamster to fit through. A dwarf hamster would have no problems, but it's already a tight squeeze for my syrian, and he's not even fully grown yet. Furthermore there is a lot of glue used to hold the wood together, which may or may not be toxic to small animals. The wood itself is of very poor quality and shavings fall off regularly. This is an average product, and I would only recommend it to those with dwarf hamsters.

I got this for my Syrian hamster but it’s too small for him and is also too small for my gerbils to actually use as a hide. It works well as a little platform for them though so still gets plenty of use even if not being used as originally intended. A great natural looking addition to an enclosure and is well built

My hamster loves this the hole to get in is quite small I would definitely say only for a dwarf hamster or anything the same size. My hamster is only around 5 months and I'm sure she will grow a lil bit more at least and she's just the right size for this. It's a good height and good size space on the inside for them to make their own personal space.

I ordered this for a syrian hamster and the front archway/door only just fits a robo hamster. The roof structure was broken in 2 places which would need gluing but as it is not the right size for the hamster I need it for that is pointless.

Great little house for our smaller dwarf hammys. great for them to climb on to and the texture adds a bit more interest too as a boredom breaker! Very well made and good quality. Very pleased indeed.Mrs.Ed.

This says it is suitable for a Siberian hamster, yet the hole wasn't very big for getting in and out of so we had to make it bigger. Also after about 3 weeks one of the sides came off so we have had to repair that too.

Ist relativ klein. Auch der Eingang.Für meine Zwerge (kleinste Hamsterart)geht es. Aber normale Hamstergrößen würden noch nicht mal durch den Eingang kommen. (Für Campbell wäre es zu klein/eng!)

La porte d'entrée est minuscule et ne convient qu'à une souris. Même un mini hamster russe (ça irait pour un hamster russe bébé) ne peut pas la passer.

I love this item! It's pretty affordable compared to some of the other trixie wooden houses. I gave it to my winter white hybrid dwarf, Beatrice, and she went in it instantly. ((: She sleeps in it most of the time. I was hoping she would use the ramps more to go on the top, but she doesn't seem to use them very often. It's still cute though that it has the top flat to set decorate things on or chews. I absolutely love the little windows in the house. This house is far too small for a syrian hamster but will work perfectly for all smaller hamsters. (: Definitely recommend.
