E-Tree Lawn Spike Aerator Shoes Garden Grass Aerators Adjustable Straps Manufactured in the UK

At the moment I have only given these shoes a brief trial run. They fitted and worked very well. I bought them to replace another similar pair that had plastic straps with the fixing point at the heel and, with me now being well over 70, I found increasingly difficult to get on and to keep attached to my feet. This new pair, with nylon straps fastening on top, was much easier to get on. I also prefer the plastic spikes rather than metal spikes. Time will tell whether or not they stay tight on my feet.

The media could not be loaded. At first when I put them on and tightened the straps they were fine until I lifted my foot and the strap loosened whilst the shoe was still stuck into the ground. This was my error as I hadn't done the straps up properly. The straps are quite long but I tucked them in. I didn't want to cut them.Once this was rectified, I was off. I have a very large back and front lawn and it took about an hour all in. The exercise was good for me and I quite enjoyed it during my isolation.The shoes are very sturdy plastic. As the video shows, my feet are quite small (Size 37) so the front spikes were harder to sink into the ground but I found a technique.I also advise that you put these on at the edge of your lawn and sink your feet into the ground then stand up. These are not designed for walking on hard surfaces.All in all, I am pleased with purchase and will be using them again. They are sturdy, easy to clean great value and made in UK.

They are well made and do a good job when you can keep them attached to your feet. I fit them to my boots when mowing the lawn, but just unable to get the straps tight enough to stay attached for long. 2 or 3 times up and down the lawn and 1 or both are loose. They are good when you first start, but I get fed up of tightening them up. That is my reason for giving just the 2 star rating. Need a ratchet type strap to keep them on, sorry but I wouldn't buy these again. Having said this, now after using them regularly when I mow the lawn, the straps have now become more used and appear to be keeping tighter now, so the more use the better. I am now a lot happier with this product. So now give it 3 stars.

These shoes do exactly what is described. Sturdy and the spikes & base are well designed. Although the straps do work and are OK I think the biggest improvement that could be made would be to use a better method for keeping the straps tight and secure. That said I used them for the first time using a garden fork as an additional support and only had to pause a couple of times to reposition / re tighten the straps. Am sure these will help the lawn get stronger growth in time. . The delivery was sooooo slow too, but I think it did come by the time when the said it would as they gave themselves almost 2 weeks for delivery, so beware it does take eons.. However, once you've got them, you've got them and you can crack on. Overall would recommend.

OK, so I only ever leave reviews of products that are great, or terrible, sadly, this one was terrible.The basic idea is good but this particular version suffers from two fundamental design floors.1) the design of the spikes is wrong, because of the shape of these spikes, they dig massive holes in your lawn, clups of turf get stuck between the spikes and you end up with divots, it looks like someone just had their first ever golf lesson, and within a few steps the shoes are full of mud and turf and the lawn looks worse than before I started.2) The straps are woefully indaequate, the shoes became loose after only three steps (this could be seen as a bonus, if they had stayed on longer, the lawn would have had even more bald patches).They are cheap, but you could save time and just throw the £15 straight in the bin.I could not be bothered to clean these off, repackage and return them.I threw them straight in the bin. Clearly the manufacturer/retailer has done no testing of this product and no market research.Save your money, these are worse than useless.I would have given 0 stars if I could.

NOT British engineering at its best !!I like the concept and the spikes do a great job but in reality a waste of time.The heel is not high enough so does not hold your boot securely and your boot slips out, this is not helped by the poor strap design which comes loose after about 15 steps. I spent more time adjusting the straps and trying to put the clasp in different positions to get them to hold but I have been unsuccessful. I see some people have mentioned shoe size for me it was ok i’m a UK size 10.I will be returning mine for a refund.

Very easy to use and done a brilliant job,i just attach then to my gardening boots and walk around no issues at all

These shoes are good for what they are designed to do. The fastenings are a little awkward and sometimes do come undone. With a little fiddling with them you can get them to stay on your feet throughout a full lawn aeration.In terms of the lawn getting the spiking it needs, they do the job great. We have a new lawn (laid last year) and with the excessive rain of late it really did need to breathe. After 2 sessions of walking over the lawn in these shoes, the lawn already looks better and is filling in the areas that needed a little thicker growth. I think that now the better weather and longer days are coming, these will have helped to liven up the lawn.So, easy to use, could do with better foot straps but still very usable with a little care when fastening them on your shoes, easy to use whilst on the lawn and easy to clean afterwards.Good product, great used. Nothing worse than doing this with a fork!
