Best bang for your buck
For the price you cant beat it only complaint is the weight but hard to complain when the lighter options cost so much more have taken it out many times only upgrade id make is to get the foil chimney tube that can roll up small to save backpack weight besides that super solid!

Light weight backpacking stove
Easy to assemble, light weight, burns hot when airflow is right.I received package quick, well packed to avoid damage. That was nice. Didn't even look at instructions to assemble, seemed to be pretty straight forward, used a 7mm nut driver to mount damper/pipe sleave to main body. Everything else went together slick! Did one final thing before burning in... I wiped the whole thing down with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any oils from finger prints, if you don't do this then they'll burn into the finish and you'll never get rid of them. I put a few pieces of fatwood into the stove, lit a vaseline infused cotton ball and threw it on top of the pile of tinder, fire took right off. Let it burn down for 10 minutes, added some more small sticks then added 4 pieces of 2x4 about 10 inches long. Fire burned for about 2 hours, firebox got nice and hot. Very little smoke seepage, just a matter of adjusting air intake and damper...Now, what I didn't like. The top plate of the stove is secured with 8 screws, you have to take them all the way out, put the plate in place and then screw the screws in. Lots of room for improvement there. The stove pipe all slides into itself, telescoping, beginging at the base which is close to 2.5 inches in diameter out about 5.5 feet to the end that is about 2.25 inches in diameter. No spark arrestor, I ordered one of those, don't have it yet. The pipe comes with these hose clamps that as far as I can tell really didn't do any good what so ever, when I broke the stove down I just pushed all the pipe together, hose clamps didn't hinder me at all. I think there is room for improvement there as well, also selling with a proper sized arrestor, I'll have to modify the one I ordered. The carry bag is cheaply made, I'm going to make another out of some 10 weight canvas and a couple of heavy zippers, and I'll put some webbing on it so I can connect it right to a backpack. Easy as pie!I have yet to burn it in a tent but that will be coming soon. All in all, with a few mods I think this will be a pretty decent little stove to take out on the trail!

Nice stove
Bought this stove for my bug out bag which is a old alice pack and it fits nicely in side. Havent got to much use out of it but it is seeming to hold up nicely no warping or bending. Will say it is alittle heavy but honestly it makes it that much more sturdy. Compared to the more expensive ones im very glad i went with this one. Highly recommend getting it.[Update]Finally got to use it today and my God does this thing work cooked on it after the chemicals burnt off and it had no issues at all I only put 3 little logs inside and some tree bark and it lasted a good while and put some heat off that I would see no issue with using while winter camping.

I want to like it more
As a sheet metal fabricator I have to say the quality to details is not there for me. One nut didn't line up so no matter what I do it won't go in. With 7 others on the lid it's not gonna come off. And the damper weld had a large hole in the weld and the tap where the pipe meets the stove had many small cracks all the way around fused not welded then grinded down but bad welds. That said it would cost a lot more for me to make it so for the price I would say it's fair just inspect it carefully I will be returning this one prior to use because I don't want to risk the pipe cracking or falling off and ruining my tent. I may have just gotten a bad one. I think this may just be a case of you get what you pay for though. Would I recommend it if you can't afford a super nice one.... Definitely it will work and any welder can add some tacks or fill some gaps or stiffen it for cheaper than a fancy one. Buy a buddy a 6 pack and he'd do it in 10 mins. For me I actually like it but due to saftey concern I have to rate low and won't be burning it in myself. Not for backpacking by the way find a titanium one don't do stainless they should know this and not use that word in any discription.

It's what I've been looking for
I like motorcycle camping and I tell ya this thing just made it a whole lot better. Fits in my saddlebag. Only thing I want crazy about is the way the pipes go together. Had a hard time getting them apart out of the box and a hard time getting them back together after the first fire. So I put a pair of needle nose pliers in the case with it. I'll probably buy one of the titanium roll up type pipes. Other than that I absolutely love this heater.Update: I've used it pretty regular for camping and baking biscuits and I can tell you the top and bottom both warped and it's kind of a pain to take apart and put together but it does go back together straight. It's been good and easy to use. Used it in my tent on a weekend rally and it put out more than enough heat. Make sure to hang on to the tiny Allen wrench that comes with it and keep some small pliers cause you'll need em after the warping to get the bolts back out. Also check all the little tiny nuts because they come loose especially the door latch. But overall I'm enjoying it and other than minor things I'm happy with it.
