Great knife
This knife is a thin laser and the wood gives it a touch of class same as the fancy thumb stud it's like a pocket watch button very nice

Impressive artistry… The image fails to capture its true beauty
The media could not be loaded. Remarkable craftsmanship... The picture does not render its real allure. The Ahab collection from Artisan Cutlery is truly outstanding. The scales, handle, spear blade, and ergos exceed anything I could have ever imagined… and let’s not forget the Titanium clip, amazing! No play whatsoever on this blade…I am incredibly proud to have finally completed this purchase.Oh, and it’s extremely sharp too… Handle with care

A Cool Blade, But Probably Not Your Next EDC
The good: The Ahab has some really cool lines, and I dig that harpoon blade shape. With the full flat grind it looks mean and is slicey as all get out. As prone as the polished blade is to getting fingerprints, it lends itself to the overal aesthetic of the knife. The APRM9 steel has been adequate and the G10 scales feel fine. bonus points for including a titanium pocket clip and back spacer at this price point. The centering on my example was dead nuts on out of the box and the action was perfect. The not-so-good: mine came with a slight bevel imperfection on the tip. It’s going to sharpen out so I don’t really mind it, but it is something that other manufactures might have considered a defect. This is surprising from Artisan. The Verdict: What it really comes down to for me is that this isn’t a perfect EDC blade but I t’s a great candidate for a gentleman’s knife, and a cool option for a fidgety knife (the large thumb studs lend to a really satisfying reverse flick). The price point for the fit and finish is great on my example, slight imperfection aside. And really, it’s a super cool design to have in your collection.

Disappointed
I had high hopes for this knife, but came away disappointed. The blade is not even close to being centered and I can’t make it centered. The thumb studs were loose from the factory. I had to tighten them myself. The thumb studs are to big. They catch on everything and sometimes open the knife in my pocket when I’m trying to pull it out. The scales are sharp on the inside edge. The lock bar is slick and hard to disengage. I love the blade and blade steel. It is super sharp and has great deployment. Very snappy. Unfortunately the other things detract from the overall quality of the knife.

Love this knife, but don't go for the wood handles
2nd Update 1/6/25: I still love this knife. I no longer use it because of the broken wood handles. I emailed Artisan several times about just buying the G10 scales outright, but I never received a response.Nevertheless, it is a great thin slicey EDC knife. I would just completely disregard the wood handle version and go for the black G10 handle version. Artisan's customer service leaves a bit to be desired.Update: I still love this knife and everything I said below holds. However, the wood scales are very thin and quickly broke in a couple places now. They are just too thin and fragile. They look great, but now I no longer carry it because of the wood scales. I miss carrying it.I have emailed Artisan twice about buying replacement scales but they have never responded.I've had hundreds of knives, but I love this one more than nearly all others. Love the blade shape, the thin flat grind. How easy it is to flick open, how well the blade slices through stuff. Love the wood handles. How light it is. It's very skeletonized. It's just a great knife to pocket. It weighs nothing for it's size. For me, this is EDC dynamite and I carry it daily.

Amazing EDC knife
Just got into EDC and Knives (already have other money draining hobbies).Picked this up as it was on sale for my first knife. Youtube reviewers loved it and so does reddit.Recieved it and it's very lightweight. I don't even feel it in my pocket. Being new, I did have to youtube how to open a knife. Only experience I had was a cheap spring assisted Kershaw when I was younger.Blade flips smoothly with no grind. Knife is super sharp out of the box. Again, it is very lightweight.

Very nice! Beautiful details (hidden pivot)
This is just one of those love it or hate it knives. Personally I love it. I think you will too. The handle scales are perfect in your hand. The blade is super snappy to open and crazy sharp out of the box. It feels like a much more expensive knife. Seems to be high quality steel too. It almost too big, but fits just right in the pocket.

After only a few weeks, color is rubbing off the handle!!
I purchased the black handle and used this as my every day carry. After only a few weeks the handle color started to rub off!! The black on the handle is coming off at the spot it sits in my pocket. Very cheap and disappointing. I will not be buying from this seller again.
