Simple
I needed a POE injector to run a wireless access point in my home lab. This works great, it’s a POE injector so not much to write about but it’s built well and doesn’t run hot.

25watt hi-power at a great price
Great for powering up non-PoE devices via a cat5/6 cable. Using one to power a wifi router in my garage for extended wifi coverage.Edimax is not a very well known brand in the USA, but they make solid reliable products for a fair price. With the big well known brands you are just paying for the brand name...not reliability...

Solid device!
There are a lot of junk POE+ devices out there, this is not one of those. I've bought several and they work great!Highly recommended.

Works as advertised. This is the only one I ...
Works as advertised. This is the only one I have found, reasonably priced, that can do 12V @ 2.0a. Most of them just do 1.0a and have a larger footprint! I'm using this to power my Cable modem. I had to purchase a smaller DC power cable, but it was worth it. Just make sure you get the correct kind. 5.5x2.1mm is what comes out of this device and I needed 2.5mm on the other end.

Powers a Roku Ultra
I'm using this to power a Roku Ultra (2018) from my POE network switch (along with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D1VXHRW as an adapter to actually plug into the Roku). I've had zero issues with it to-date.

Buyer Beware - Product Does Not Work, Causes Overloads
I just went through two of these devices (the original purchase and its replacement) - both died in the exact same way.The device shorts out and overloads as soon as you complete the circuit on the DC output side. I have various other POE and POE+ devices and splitters, all work as expected on multiple different POE+ enabled switches and injectors - the injector side of things is functioning perfectly, the problem is definitely with these devices. It may be that there was a bad run (my current device is V1.0A, not sure what the other one was but likely the same as these arrive just a couple days apart - Amazon's returns and replacement process is nice). It's a shame really, this was one of the most inexpensive 1Gb/s POE+ splitters and it has a nice compact size too. I've used other products by this brand too without issue so it's unfortunate to encounter such a faulty product design. I'm just glad my switch is smart enough to detect the overload condition and cut power before it becomes damaged. I'm also glad nothing else was damaged by this device as well.Bottom line - the device turns on when connected a POE+ source but overloads and dies immediately upon connecting any sort of load to the device.

Doesn't provide anywhere near 2A@12V
If you looking at this POE splitter for its higher wattage at 12V then this is not the adapter you want. the adapter i was sent struggled at providing anymore than 0.1A@12V. my load was only 1.28A with occasional bumps up to 1.35A so 2A should have been plenty and this adapter couldn't cut it.I ended up using an ANVISION splitter without issue - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JCKHIGM/Switch was a UBNT 48 port POE 500W which supports 802.3at (POE+) so power supply side was not the issue.root
