Carhartt mens Super Dux Relaxed Fit Insulated Traditional Coat

I'm not a jacket guy. I hate how they look, I hate carrying them around, and even when I lived in New York (I'm now in Florida), I'd be the guy walking around in 20 degree weather with a hoodie or light windbreaker.But that comes with a cost - people feel the need to judge you on the street. And as I was heading up to Canada for a business event, the last thing I wanted was to be called out for my lack of jacket in front of clients. So I bought this.I could not be more pleased. It's definitely a big, winter jacket. It's not egregiously heavy, but it's not light by any stretch of the imagination. Still, I was amazed at the ratio between how effective it seems to be at keeping my warm and comfortable ... and how manageable it is from a weight/bulkiness perspective. It also very stylish -- maybe not red carpet stylish, but something that looks striking and flattering while walking down the street.The tapering is also very impressive; though it's big, it doesn't have that "boxy" effect and contoured from my shoulders to waist reasonably well. Again, it's something you can wear on a night out to the bars or movies and not look ridiculous. And due to the warmth and insulation, I'd imagine you could wear this to a ski resort as well.Buy this jacket.

It does feel super good quality. I’m 5”10, 185 and I got a M size. It fits pretty perfectly for my standards. I could wear this in 30 deg weather with a shirt on only but I feel there’s enough space for a sweater. The hood covers you but the way I wear my jackets in the cold, I’m always tryna cover my mouth anyway. For a bald man, it feels warm and comfy. I also can wear this jacket in the fall and still be fine - not sweating while I wear this inside the house. It’s comfy and a level 4 warmth 1 which is for extreme warmth for carhartt standards. Really good stuff!

Love this coat. Today was the first really cold day since getting the coat (0 F and windy). The coat is really warm, yet feels light and flexible. The shell cuts the wind and the hood adds extra warmth. The Thinsulate works amazing well.One word of caution, of the five coat shown, the Navy and Gravel are a different style then the other three. I originally ordered the Navy and then realized it doesn't have the side zippers or chest pockets. I sent it back. The zippers are a must for driving or sitting and the chest pockets are handy for glasses, etc.

I absolutely love this. I bought it just before a trip to Scotland. Weather is very unpredictable and I needed something to Cover the bases. Rain, wind you name it Scotland put it thought its paces. simply wonderful. I stayed dry warm and comfortable. Normally I am a 2XLT in Carhartt so I just decided to go with the 3xl and it was very large and comfortable. Im a 6'2' 300lb man and it fit me large. Ill spend my money to get another one just to know I will will have another coat when this ones done.

I’m 5’8” and 185 and the medium fits just right. Also tried the large but was swimming in it even with a long sleeve hoodie and Antigua vest underneath for layering so kept the medium instead.Wore it this past week in 40-50 F, rainy weather. The coat is warm without it feeling overly heavy or bulky. Might not even need to layer at all given the insulation.Also able to wear it comfortably while driving and still have good range of motion. A bit tight in arm holes while wearing a thick hoodie under it, but able to wear a casual v-neck sweater and polo under it just fine while driving to work.Got the greige - a good neutral color that was $50 cheaper than the black or coffee brown. Glad I got a great deal on such now a comfortable Carhartt coat.

I love this jacket, I love the color,well made,great materials (sofar) hood lining DOESN'T get attached to my carhartt hat Velcro size adjustment strap. The jacket is light weight not puffy very comfortable. Doesn't have the aggravating 2 way zipper seems to me carhartt has enough trouble making a zipper that can go 1 way. They have 2 side zippers at the bottom sides to open for sitting they actually work good (sofar) the jacket they call a coat and gave it THEIR highest rating "4" for warmth that may be but you'll never find that out wearing this jacket. The bottom is wide open with no way of clinching it up very cold wind comes pouring up . I think I read that in someone else's review. That's not the end of the world that allows the jacket to hide my grandpa beach ball physique and that it does very well. Ventilation can be a good thing if you're working shoveling snow ECT... Also it allows room for layering although why buy this almost $200.00 thinn lite weight jacket if ya gotta start stuffing coats underneath it kinda back to puffy. Having said all that the positives way out weigh the negative. I would order it again. Probably just gonna be a casual jacket anyway. The list price was $170.00 aproxamently . I got it on sale 40% off $107.00 older model 2021 I think odd color (greg) maybe wife & I never heard of it wasn't in the 64 box of crayons . newer models may have a draw string.

I am soooo happy I bought this at 2nd chance! It was Exactly perfect and what I was looking for and Wanted!! I disliked my works bomber coat no matter how much bigger I would go it would ALWAYS ride up! So frustrating! I do need a hood at work plus I wanted to make sure my wrists and waist STAYED where I wanted it to COVER MY BUM!!! My hoodie stayed but with the windy cod winds I seriously wanted every bit covered. This coat does it! I wanted a heavier duty work coat that covered me entirely even if work provides our outside gear. I was fed up. I don't play! I cant wait to wear this and actually stay and be warm while working outside! This is in beautiful condition and very happy with the giving it a 2nd chance life! It will be cherished and looooved! Seriously!
