Great for reptile keepers
Great packaging, very clear instructions for setup of both the physical unit and the in app functions. Very easy to use in a reptile environment as the optional probe lead for temperature readings is plenty long enough to allow you to measure temperature at a distance away from the main unit that measures the humidity, giving you plenty of flexibility. However I have one long term concern, the unit is not waterproof (only the probe is but this only measures the temperature) so I’m unsure how it will withstand the continued misting needed in tropical setups, time will tell! Obviously it’s easy enough to remove during manual spraying. We set this product up on our emerald tree boa viv and have been very pleased with its functionality, the app allows you to set upper and lower safe limits for both temperature and humidity and notifies you if the readings go outside of these. The Bluetooth connection to a device is very useful to be able to check back over previous readings and analyse your husbandry, however the short distance range Bluetooth allows for means I will be setting it up on a spare device to remain in the room in future. The app is very clear and seems to allow for multiple units to be setup and followed simply by renaming each one, also giving you options for the frequency of when the readings are taken. In fact the only real improvements that I believe could be made on this product is for the connection to be WiFi instead and a secondary hygrometer probe that’s waterproof allowing the main unit to remain outside of the viv but for the price point I’m impressed with the model as it is. Overall a great buy and I’m sure we’ll add more to our reptile room in future (fingers crossed this one stands up to frequent spraying first)

Accurate Easy to use Value for money but Poor bluetooth range
Positives works well if you are in bluetooth range and it is accurate the realtime temperature log is very good as well.Negatives for me it was range of the unit from my phone or pc for that matter. Unit claims 30m but as is often the case it is 10m to 15m with one window or wall from outside to inside almost line of site. I dread to think how far the signal could reach if it had to go through two wall. However if you wanted to monitor your home fish tank this is a great low cost unit and functionally works very well. It was just the range that did not work for me.

Perfect for vivariums.
The Inkbird IBS-TH1 wireless bluetooth hygrometer & thermometer is a great device with lots of possibilities for applications it could be used for.I wanted this device for my Snake vivariums and it works a treat .The device does have some limitations but only as much as the bluetooth range with allow. The temperature is spot on and proven to be very acurate when calibrated againts over devices. The humidity has showen up two over devices as recording incorrectly for that its wins hands down for the application for reptile use where this important to the welfare of a animal. The device connects easily when in range and displays the current readout.Once logged into the app allows you to customise what each device is used for with a name of your pet or location. It has continued monitoring and shows a detailed history all without disturbing pets to check this. This device app supports up to 6 devices and at the click of a button you can see current temperature and humidity. The best part of this for me is history graph that shows temperature spikes or dips very useful to see that things are being maintained. It does have alarm features for both as long as connected this will alert you to a drop or spike. This device can be used in multiple applications and i even intend to use as a back up for monitoring my beer fermentation in my flat where i have no real control but am still able to monitor things should it start to get to hot or cold i could take steps to sort the problem out again without actually disturbing things to check the tempratures. The device has a detachable probe meaning the unit can be used stand alone to monitor things and even has a magnet on the rear.Once connected the probe has a good length for monitoring a source and is very sensitive.Powerd by two aaa batteries which seem to last forever. This device would even work well in a Aquarium setup to keep track of temperature also.Really the applications are endless i think its a acuracy and size make this a great device to have.Used for what it can do i wouldnt hesitate to buy more for my other vivariums. Its another solid product from inkbird.

Worked well initially
As the title says initially had this setup and worked perfectly for 6 months but has now just stopped working. I replaced the battery but am unable to get it working.A real shame as I had an accurate record of temperatures which I could look back on if needed.
