Got this for my camera phone so I could take better hands free pics. I think its a good little device, folds up nicely and has a carrying/storage bag. It has good heigth and extendability. The one thing that could be an improvement is a tilt function for the longer arm on the tripod (think how adjustable a microphone stand is, and that's what I'm thinking). Any way, I just adjust one of the legs so that the arm then has a tilt up or down for more angled overhead shots and vids. It's rather light weight, but seems study enough for simple home grown photo work and maybe some outdoor stuff.

I use this for making painting videos. My students use it for holding their iphones for painting model pics. I watch movies while I work and have spotify music at easy reach.Limited height, comparatively little diagonal positioning, but, sturdy, stable, comes out of the box ready to use, good value for the money.Handy as …well, down there.

If you're looking to do overhead photography (or videography in my case) this inexpensive horizontal tripod is a great purchase. No, it's not sturdy at all, but that's why its so lightweight. We use this to film food for our top-down shots and it has worked out very well.

I'm on my... 3rd or 4th phone stand because they begin to sink or break... this one is great, especially for overhead work!

I’ve had this tripod for a few months now, and it’s officially broken. The piece that extends the main structure has completely broken off and seems to be due to a poor build. I expected more than a few months of durability from this pricier product, and am really sad that it’s already broken since I do love it when it’s not.

I'm giving this five stars because it's built very well, and the remote is a nice feature. So overall this is a positive review. But for my use case, the base takes up too much floor space when I need the camera mounted high, so consider that for your purposes. There is no central stick that raises and lowers - height is achieved only by the three feet. This would work great for outdoor settings, but I need something for product photography, and my space is cramped, so the floor space is an issue. I am considering a different product that clamps onto a table instead.
