Not your usual travel guide
This travel guide focuses on one thing -> amazing experiences. We can all find accomodation online now, but choosing what to do and where to go can be more tricky. I grew up in the south of France but read this book cover to cover, with every adventure more enticing than the next!

Buy the Rough Guide version
This was very poor. I have a week in Antibes coming up and I wanted some ideas for trips and art galleries. Antibes wasn’t in the index and information about the Cote d’Azur is either missing or badly organised. I have found all Lonely Planet guides very useful but this one is useless. Buy the Rough Guide for the area. Amazon allowed me to swap to it. It is must better than this mess.

I had a little more expectation, but overall it's not bad.

Very limited in outdoor activities and no fun for the family
I've always found Lonely Planet guidebooks great for discovering things to do.If it's just eating, drinking and smelling lavender in a floaty dress then this is your book.If you want to enjoy the mountains exploring, rafting, canyoning, water sports or something to remember like via ferrata then this book is a complete waste of money.A family trip with kids would experience mutiny and be missing out on all fun and excitement which France excels at.
