ASSEMBLY IS TIME CONSUMING and there are a lot of parts. I'm really happy with the quality of this island and feel like I got a great deal. If assembled properly (and without making mistakes) I bet this is just as good as a much more expensive island from Bed Bath and Beyond or other home goods retailer. ***HOWEVER, I am a very mechanically inclined person and the assembly took me about 2 and a half hours. Pay very close attention to the instructions, specifically the orientation of all the components when installing them. Aside from the top counter piece, the slats are made from brittle MDF, which is unforgiving. Meaning if you install something incorrect and have to remove the screws and reinstall it, you will likely strip any threads created by the self tapping hardware. The screws, cam nuts and other hardware pieces are very soft metal and poor quality. Use hand tools only for assembly, unless you have the hands of a neurosurgeon, you will strip everything. I wouldn't even use an electric screwdriver, much less a drill. I ended up using a JIS #2 screwdriver instead of a Phillips because none of my Phillips drivers fit the heads of the screws. There is extra hardware so if you ruin a few, don't worry too much. I did have to do a bit of "custom fabrication" when installing one of the door stops because I put it in backwards and there was no way it would install a 2nd time without destroying it.

Very sturdy and looks amazing it added a lot to our space

Item is rather heavy overall, but light weight in certain areas like the pull-out drawers and the included hardware, fortunately after one of the cast metal anchor sleeves broke there was spare in the hardware pack, other hardware screws directly into the laminated pressboard. Good item for the price however and works well for my application.

This took some time to put together and having an electric screwdriver helps. All pieces fit together as I hoped. The end result is a great cabinet. Shelves, drawers and cabinet doors lined up perfectly. Great value and looks good too.

Pros: Looks fantastic. Nice & sturdy. Great size & is also counter height. Storage area is great . Top fits a microwave & air fryer. My only con would be putting it together was not easy as there were so many pieces. Would definitely recommend
