Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.0 Aspherical Lens for Nikon Z

My favorite prime lense I use on my Nikon Z7 is a Voightlander 50mm f1.2 Lieca mount with adapter. The f1.2 lense has good sharpness wide open, but loses a bit of contrast giving photos a softer look - gives it personality. It is also very compact but lacks any exif data making it difficult to use on a Nikon Z.When this new native Z Voigt f1 became available I waited a bit because of the price - twice as much as my current f1.2. Now that I broke down and decided to upgrade, I can truly say I am impressed. It is sharp wide open, very little CA, awsome color and contrast. Exposure data in the viewfinder and attached to the files is also huge plus.If you plan on using this lens wide open during daylight be sure to puchase a good 62mm 3-stop ND filter - this is a fast lens that can exceed your camera's shutter speed and lower ISO limit easily on a sunny day. Sure, you can close the aperture, but you might want the creamy bokeh even in your day shots.Will this f1 Voight replace my old f1.2? Probably not - the f1.2 has personality I don't want to lose.I will leave the detailed reviews to the pixel peepers, but I have found the quality of build and photos produced by this lens to be outstanding. The f1 is larger than the f1.2, but the weight is just a bit heavier. The only negatives I have found so far is a bit of fringing wide open. Vignette is typical of other fast lenses I have used.As long as you can handle manual focus, this is a great lens. Voights are the best!

Love love love this lens on my Nikon Zf, just adds to the classic style and operation of this camera. And the clarity and color from it are just amazing. Vignetting can be frustrating at wide open, but adds to the character and can be easily removed in post.
