I have been looking for quite some time for a compass pendant in sterling silver that was not so small that you could barely see it, most of the ones I saw online were the size of a dime. Not this one, it is ever so slightly larger than a quarter. It comes with a nice chain, but the chain is not sterling, just as an fyi. What is also nice is that this pendant comes in lots of styles to suit what you are looking for. Some of these are lockets and some can hold ashes. Being of Celtic decent that is the one I chose; it is beautiful but is not a locket which is fine by me. I usually don't write a review until I have used a product for a while but with Christmas around the corner and have only received the pendant today, I was so thrilled with the look of it I thought I would dash off a quick review. If you get one hope you like as much as I like mine.

We have had a rough 6 months, I lost my dad in May, my sister in August and then my son in Sept. I bought 2 other types of keepsakes and all were not that great. The opening was too small and they were ok. This compass one fits my son perfectly in more ways then one. My son was an adventurous soul and I thought a compass would be perfect. The compass came on time, and it looks nice. I thought it would be slightly bigger then what it was and now happy with it's size. just smaller then a quarter. For those looking to put ashes into these types of keepsakes, I have a tip for you. After the loss of 3 family members who were all cremated, ashes are in no way like what you see in the movies. They are more like sand. This next info is just hard honesty if you want to carry your loved ones ashes. You should use a strainer over some paper and sift the ashes until you get dust onto the paper. Then place the dust into the keepsake. The whole on the keepsake is way to small for the cremations to go into. I hope this helps.

It’s way smaller than the pictures show. I made a huge mistake getting this one rather than the one I was originally going to buy. It cannot be used for what I needed the locket for. I do t have time to send it back. I’m so upset. It was supposed to be a gift to my son whom I have seen in a very long time. 😢😢😢😢
