Best hernia belt I've bought
Bought a few different brands but this one has held together the best. The padding was too hard actually hurt pressing on the hernia but swapped it with one from another belt and have been using it ever since. Can work all day with this on, doesn't get in the way and keeps the hernia in place, without the best after standing for 15 minutes I'm in extreme pain but with this on can work 8 hours easy. Great belt just needs a slightly softer pad.

Judging from some of the responses I thought wearing this...
...would be very uncomfortable...aside from the velcro straps getting tangled up with each other on the first try and while this isn't exactly a paradigm of comfort it does do the job pretty well and I did get used to it. I do "duck walk" a little when I am wearing it, but it's not as if it's unbearable and I was able to wear it for over 5 hours without a problem. It seems well constructed and although it protrudes somewhat, it fit under my jeans. Compression was decent. Considering the unpleasant circumstances under which I have to wear this I am satisfied. Edit 11/6/22...I have successfully worn this at the gym prior to surgery but it is essential you adjust the middle hold-down strap properly for comfort which is between the family jewels and the thigh. Either too much on either side will result in more discomfort but the strap does slide in the back of the belt so you should be able to find a position best for you. It may take a couple of tries but it does work.

Works well
As an (older) nurse I remember patients wearing these as directed by their surgeon until surgery could be done. We bought it for my husband, who had a hernia and had to wait a bit to get surgery. Surgeon never mentioned it. He said it helped a lot, another benefit of being married to a nurse :)

Gives good support where it's supposed to!
This belt says it's made for men (who are the most common ones to get inguinal hernias), but I am a woman who has an inguinal hernia, and this belt works! It is a bit clumsy at first, and feels a bit barbaric when you first try to figure out how it goes, but it definitely supports the right area, and helps SO much with pain. Very big range of adjustability, so the fit can be just how you need it. It's not the easiest to wear in public, as the front "bulb" (which is removable, but I find it doesn't support the same without it for me), protrudes out so you wouldn't want to wear a short shirt or tight clothes. but all in all, I find a lot of relief with this belt!

Pleasantly surprised. . .
Well, never expected to get a hernia, but thought a belt would be a good option. Checked out a few options, and…this one is a keeper! Nice wide belt, Velcro on belt and strap is excellent. The pad can be used inside or outside the build in pocket. The pad was initially uncomfortable. Was too round. So, with it still in the pocket (pouch), I put it on the ground and stood on it to flatten it out, so now it’s perfect! Will be using this daily until I get my surgery in the next month or so.
