Easy to install and durable
I bought the 100x220 cm regardless that our balcony door is 100x200. I had no time to search for the perfect fit. We needed an asymmetric and reliable fly screen. So, we can keep our door open the whole day and night during the summer. The fly screen had to be folded back at the bottom but it could be managed with a minimal sewing set (black thread and a needle) and basic skill. The adhesive stripe is strong and the fly screen works as advertised. We are very satisfied.

No flys on me!
After suffering for yonks with flys disturbing my dogs & me, I finally bought this magnetic fly screen & boy, has it stopped the problem. It’s so easy to install, great quality and definitely value for money. Only took a little training & treats for my dogs to go through it with no problems. Now my house is near enough fly free (still come through my window). Would definitely recommend to all.

STURDY 200 x 80
Cant fault this at all, the strongest curtain ever, the sticky tape is awesome, strong magnets, plus no flapping about trying to get to the door handle, could be used for either side of door, one problem my door frame is unusually high so had to re do just used the extra tape to double over top & that was it, the curtain re stuck to the strong fabric like tape & all done in 15 mins, now its not catching the length on the floor, happy days i am buying again when needed 🙂

Fairly straightforward fitting
I needed this because I have poppies by the front door which are really attractive to bees and the kept flying into my home. I like to leave the door open when it is warm enough. Firstly for fresh air and also to save running back and forth when the dog wants to go out.The only problem I had fitting this was the weather suddenly became windy when I was trying to put the tape on.. I went for this because the opening is to the side and the hinge side of my front door is against the wall. A central opening would have been much more awkward getting through. The loop side of the Velcro is on both sides of the screen so you can have the opening whichever side you need. Note it is a single piece so the is a top and bottom. My stupid dog has finally figured out how to get through, (or just got fed up waiting for her servant to open it for her). Probably the former as there is not much room for brains in a Cavaliers pretty little head.No insects coming into the house now.

Glass fibre netting unsuitable
Review of the fibreglass curtainsThese curtains have some great advantages and some rather disappointing disadvantages.First, they come with an all round velcro attachment, which is very helpful. The mesh is see through and although black, does not interrupt one’s view of the outside. They certainly keep the flies and bees out, and at night, the moths too.The downside is all due to the fabric. The clue is in the name: Fibre Glass. We all know glass fibre is extremely fragile and easily fractures. This is exactly what happens to the curtain. On opening the curtain, it was clear it had been folded, and the fractures you see on my curtain, (some already taped to prevent further enlargement) were all originally a result of the curtain being folded. The glass fibre was under stress and on unfolding, and during putting in place over the door, the fibre gave way, resulting in the holes occurring along a fracture line. The curtain initially sounded convenient with the small side panel close to the patio door handle. However this has also given way to a 3 inch fracture on the second curtain I bought on behalf of a friend, because reaching for the patio door handle means the panel is inevitably pushed aside, however gently, resulting in stress and fractures. This curtain is now also showing taped areas. All in all, the idea is sound but the chosen material is unsuitable for the purpose. Glass fibre is too fragile and unstable for a curtain under constant through-put of people. Strong nylon might have been a better choice with a longer life. This one will not withstand being taken down and stored away for next year, so this has been an expensive summer buy. I would not choose this again.

Dog friendly fly screen
Robust fly screen with off centre opening. It took my dog less then half an hour to work out how to come and go through the screen on the back patio doors, so she has access to the garden, but I am free of flies in the kitchen.
