Like these bags! Work great in freezer. I use them to freeze smaller portions of meat. Ziplock is great too. Size is good. It’s not square, longer than it is wide but it works for me!

Check with your local recycling center before throwing food away to be composted in these bags. They may be compostible in some systems but not in our city compost center. They will almost certainly not degrade sufficiently in a back yard compost pile; not enough heat is generated.These particular bags come in a box that doesn't have a dispensing opening; you have to open the end of the box to pull out each bag.

Not plastic! Plus I like the reusable aspect and different shape of the bags

We LOVE these bags. We buy mostly home compostable bags/items. You have to read between the lines bc a lot of companies will tell you they are compostable. They don’t mention that it is compostable in some non-existent facility. These are truly home compostable. We have frozen soups and thing in these bags as well. They seal great, no problem. Great price too.

The facility I use to board my dog requires you to pre-portion the dog's food. I use the snack sized compostable bags to reduce the amount of single use plastic bags I would need to use. These bags are easy to open and seal, hold .5 cup of dry dog food and some treats easily.

In a fit of ecological fervor I ordered these compostable freezer bags- supposedly reusable. They are thick and seal well, but expensive, like everything virtuously ecological seems to be. Since they’re cornstarch-based “plastic,” I don’t know how long they willactually last. The package has something like an expiration date-as if they’ll start to break down in 6 months, whether they’re used or not.If they do that, they’re useless to me, since I don’t use a lot of bags and reuse the plastic bags I do have multiple times. So the jury’s out.
