If you want moving platters for less than £1200 this is it.
If you want moving platters for less than £1200 this is it. It is belt driven but the smaller platters mean it has enough torque for scratching etc. This would be a great controller for anyone who wants the feel of turntables and definitely for those who want to delve into scratching on moving platters. I have 2 controllers but this is by far the most fun (and cheapest). If you’re thinking about the T7 there are more than enough reviews on YouTube -Do your homework.

Hercules DJ controller
Absolutely awesome piece of kit. It’s been years since I’ve owned decks (Vestax PTX’s) and I’ve totally forgotten how to scratch 😂😂Arrived very quickly and after loading the drivers onto my PC, I was ready to go…..

Decent all-in-one DJ controller
I'm not a beginner, but can see that this DJ controller would be a good entry into DJing. The basic tools such as beatmatching work well, and the 'vinyl' on top gives the feel of classic turntables. At the same time, it has enough more advanced tools to have a decent amount of longevity.I didn't much like the Serato lite DJ programme it was packaged with - there are much more intuitive ones out there - and it's hard to comment on value for money as I'm not sure what the competition is for something like this. However, I would happily use this as my main DJ controller if needed, including DJing for friends.

Good quality, well thought out, good design, well worth the asking price
I've had some fantastic experiences using the Hercules DJ Control Inpulse T7, and it truly stands out for the seamless blend of analog and digital DJing it offers. The motorised platters provide a tactile feel similar to vinyl turntables and visually emulate them with a vinyl-style platter design. As someone who values Turntablism in the art of manipulating sounds and general mixing, the Inpulse T7 offers a hands-on experience with its motorised platters and diverse performance functions. The club-style layout, featuring a three-band EQ and a filter rotary control on each channel, makes navigation easy. The inclusion of eight backlit RGB performance pads on each channel is a fantastic addition for hot cues, sampling, and live looping.I particularly appreciate the advanced 'Stem' technology, enabling me to generate instrumental/acapella versions of songs with dedicated buttons. The built-in effects, accessible through six FX buttons and FX paddles on each channel, add an extra layer of creativity to my sets. The fact that it comes bundled with Serato DJ Lite is a definite plus, providing deep integration and advanced features. In practice, whether recording or performing live, the set-up and placement of knobs, controllers, and buttons are intuitive. The overall quality of the controller is excellent, and it performed flawlessly in a live event. I couldn't find any negatives; it's been an all-around positive experience with this controller. It's a robust and versatile unit that has been meticulously designed and thought out and good to transport and and set up. If you're considering it, you won't be disappointed given the price, you can't go wrong. Really impressed.

Superb controller
I've had this for a couple of months now - I didn't want to review it until I'd had the opportunity to really get to know the ins and outs. Here are my thoughts in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Just an absolutely outstanding controller for the price. So much to love about it - particularly from an entry-level standpoint. If your intention is to seriously get into DJing, this controller has so much going for it to help you get started, while still allowing you ample scope to upgrade as you go. For example, the up fader/cross fader is fine for an entry-level controller, but the Hercules Inpulse T7 Premium Fader Module is compatible and is highly regarded. It costs about £70 but can be fitted further on down the line if you want to upgrade the system in the future.+ Outputs (on the rear) are extremely straightforward. There are two XLR out (masterL, masterR), a red/white RCA master out, a 1/4" mic in (which sounds great, by the way), USB in/out and finally the power. On the front, there are just a pair of headphone ports (one 1/4", one 3.5mm). Keeps things very simple. One thing that's really important to note - it RELIES on the USB connection to be operational. Without USB connected, it just doesn't work.+ Sound and control are outstanding for this price - I don't think I've seen a controller at this price with this quality. Again, all the main bases are covered - each side has gain, high/mid/low and filter (high pass/low pass) dials, bend and three effects. Bear in mind this is essentially a Serato based controller, so all effects are Serato effects. Serato Lite is included (although it's a free download anyway), but Serato Pro will set you back about £190 (or you can subscribe for about a tenner a month). Lite is still very good though - it's just another one of those upgrade paths that's open to you if you want it.+ Special mention to the pitch fader, which feels great (better than the stock crossfader module) but the beatmatch guide is invaluable for syncing speed/beat, particularly if you're new to DJing. Makes the whole thing SO much more accessible. And if you don't like it, you can turn it off with one button.+ Build quality is again very good. It's not heavy but certainly doesn't feel cheap, and the platters feels great, especially considering the price. Features like the quality of the foldable legs show how well thought through the design of the whole controller is; a simple thing like being able to raise up the controller (e.g. to feed cables underneath) while still being stable as a rock is really appreciated.Things I didn't like:- Really, there's very little to dislike. There are so many great features that you wouldn't expect at this price. Yes, the cross fader module is just OK, but it's perfectly serviceable and if you are relatively new to DJing, you probably won't even notice. What's great though is that you have the option to upgrade down the road relatively inexpensively.Do I recommend it?Absolutely. If you want a simple but feature-rich controller that won't let you down to take to smaller gigs where a more expensive controller might be overkill (or you wouldn't want to risk it), this has you covered. And if you're looking for an entry level controller just to get started, you absolutely won't regret getting this one - makes the whole thing more accessible right from the get-go while still giving you plenty of room to grow. Love this controller.
