I bought it for my wife as a gift and she was very pleased.

The tea pot comes broken for the second time

To begin, this tea set is a very nice value for someone who is just getting into enjoying tea in this manner. It offers all the pieces you will need (outside of an electric kettle/stove top kettle) while also being aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. This is what largely drew me to want this product in particular, with the added bonus of the leather case which would make for easy storage/portability.I found three major issues with this product and the seller. Firstly, the root cause for the 2 stars is the plastic tea tray arrived damaged and appears to have been packaged differently from the images that are shown on the selling page. You can see in my images that the tray was not packed on the lid, but instead packed on top of the cups. I don't think this was the root cause for damage, but could be a contributing factor. Interestingly, the packaging that the entire case shipped in was undamaged, which tells me it likely occurred by being violently shaken during transport or that it was broken at the manufacturer and the worker decided to still put this in the case. Secondly, if I want to have this repaired I need to 1.) send the entire tea kit back or 2.) I can request a refund and send the entire kit back. I would much rather have a replacement tray sent to me directly (and if needed, would return the damaged one). This leads to my second part for this, the seller cannot be contacted directly to suggest this alternative exchange or anything else. Thirdly, the product was painted and packaged after production without being cleaned of left over residue. You can see in my images the white (assumably paint) dust that was found inside the cup. I always wash my utensils and dishware before use for the first time, but it strikes me as peculiar to blatantly send a dirty product to the consumer.(TLDR) Overall, this set is a very nice entry point for someone just getting into tea. The actual quality of the tea set deserves a 4/5, but the condition it was received in and the seller contact issues reduced the rating to be 2/5 stars.Pros:- All in one kit to get you started- Good Price- Nice Quality and Stylish designs- Is able to service 6 people instead of 4 like others seen on Amazon- Comes with portable and stylish case- Simplistic designs makes supplies easy to clean & reduces chances of future damageCons:- Product has a chance to arrive broken coming from the factory- Seller cannot be contacted for Customer Service. Only solution is to return everything to have fixed- Product arrived not clean- Protective foaming in case is great for shipping, but a little too firm/tight for the user to easily insert and remove pieces.

Beautiful set. Package was thrown together a little too quickly so the lid chipped in transit. Not damaged enough to want a return or replacement. Wish I could request only the gaiwan lid to be replaced with one without chips but I’ll just use it until I actually break it. Seriously pretty. Oh the edge of the saucer is a little rough but not sharp. Still me likey

Good quality porcelain for the price, and the case is good. However, the bamboo top of the case is badly warped after 2 weeks of use. Definitely do not leave the water in there too long. I'm hoping I might be able to get a replacement top.UPDATE: I am not able to contact the seller. Amazon offered a return and refund, which I appreciate, but I will opt to keep it. I was able to, by cracking the top board, to more or less put it back in place. I plan to brush the wood with mineral oil to keep it from absorbing water, as well as gluing it together. This is a pain, but weighed against returning a getting a new one, I reckon it's worth it.If you get this set, definitely brush something on that top board to prevent it from absorbing water before you use it.
