Saves Buzzing noises
I thought I would go the extra mile and buy this lead rather than a standard planet waves lead. The idea behind the lead is simple, you have kill switch on the right angle end of the lead so that when you are switching instruments, you don't damage the speakers by sending a surge unwanted feedback or frequencies down the signal. This can be especially annoying if your distortion channel is activated on the amp. You are also paying extra for the gold plating on the lead which conducts the signal a little bit more efficiently but doesn't really make that much difference. Finally, if you take away the extra features you'll find that this is a standard but very quality planet waves lead. One, thing to point out which I had problems with; is the fact that when plugged directly into some of my guitars, the signal doesn't come through when switching to the lead pickup. Also, like any other planet waves lead, you can collect the plectrum points if you keep the packaging (same with d'darrio strings)

Good sound
Very good sound quality. Quite expensive, but worth it if using for concerts, etc. Don't buy this if you're only going to use it to practice, it's not worth the money.

Great kill-switch feature, gets tangled up easily
Excellent “kill switch “ feature which I use on my bass (most people would probably have the switch at the amp) great quality and well made. However, the outer surface is rubberised and tends to coil and tangle itself unless you are near its maxi length. The Fender fabricated ones do this too, so maybe a less tactile or slower friction outer layer may work better.Maybe over time the surface will wear off?

Great cut off out switch cable.
Great cut off out switch cable. Still working time after time with lots of use.

Uncrackingly good!
I have a good few 1/4" jack leads for stringed instruments, but one you can isolate seemed a great idea, as it means you can use just the one lead for several instruments. Just actuate the switch on the instrument end, unplug and plug in the next instrument........no cracks or pops through the amp.....result!The cable itself is of good quality, but not as flexible as some. It bends but not to tight radii, and has a light stiffness to it. The jack plugs are exquisite! Shiny gunmetal colour with thin light blue 'o' rings top and bottom. I guess in time the 'o' rings will wear/rot/perish or even become displaced, but that will have no effect on the excellent performance.A lead of excellent quality with the bonus of an isolating switch....Oh! and a good quality built in cable tie. Highly recommended.

Solid heavy cable with clean sound and reliable killswitch
Planet waves gear is pretty good, I have a five year old cable similar to this which has a bit of noise but still works well (you wouldn't use it in a studio, but every other use is fine). This cable is very good. The heavy jacks feel solid and reliable, the killswitch/circuit breaker works reliably and without much effort.

Disappointed.
Once received I was excited to set up my equipment ahead of an event for Church. Then quickly realised the cable was faulty at the 'mute' end. Not only does it feel slack where its been soldered its weak. Every time the cable moved it crackled. I sent email to ask about a replacement the same day I purchased it as I needed it quick. Not even an acknowledgement. I wouldn't mind so much if this was £10 cable but when you purchases quality you expect quality.

Good cables, except for the jacks slipping out.
Nice sturdy cable, may take a while for the cable to loosen up and not be so stiff, so get it quite some time before you actually need it if it's for something important...Just something to note, I've got two of these cables, tried both on three different guitars, my interface, different pedals and amps and the jacks just don't seem to fit very tight and they can come out with quite a bit of ease. Obviously I like the idea of this circuit breaker, and I'm not sure if it's because of the jack weight, or something else, but it's an issue for me.As I said, great cables overall, but (unless I got some dodgy ones) be careful when using them live and/or in a tube amp, don't wanna damage the tubes if one of these accidentally popped out, ironically defeating the purpose of these anyway.
