This is not made for the non-handy type folk. It requires a little bit of electrical/mechanical knowledge (or willingness to eff around and find out). It comes with Zero documentation. Which annoyed me. Luckily, it has important info, like the force and stroke length, on the device itself. It has connectors specifically meant to make it work with a certain chair set up. I immediately lopped those off, and am running my own connectors to use it to modify my manual sit/stand desk, into a motorized one. I have too much stuff on it, and, while I can lift it, I want to make it easier on myself. Plus... it is a fun project/modification. If you choose to use it for something other than its intended chair, make sure you also get a 12V power source, and a DC Forward/Reverse Remote Switch.

This thing is stronger than I expected.I used it for an unconventional sort of project but therein lies the beauty of it! Think outside of the box, and it will surprise you.Of course, you can use it as intended and it certainly won’t disappoint.

Correct part number but way to long for our chair.

This linear actuator wasnt used in a couch, but for another project. The performance is as stated, it can hold a good amount of weight and moves at a good clip. Unfortunately the documentation was zero, no manuals, no other information save for the sticker on the motor.I'm sure for a couch this would work fine, for a DIY project is usable but slightly annoying.

Works with the KDH240-002 switch and Ashley chairs and probably with others as well. I don't know if this is OEM or if it is a copy but it works like an actuator should without weird noises or hesitancy.Make sure you remove your actuator and look at the numbers on it yourself before you try to replace it. In theory you can ask the manufacturer about the part number but in reality the designs change a little bit each year. They actually need a serial number to get the right parts list for someone and I'm not so sure they get it right then.
