Great little easy to use microscope
These microscopes work great and are so much fun to use! Clear image and great magnification. Easy to assemble and easy to use. I am using them in a classroom setting, so the children can easily see the magnification of objects. The light is adjustable, which is nice for shiny things. Discovered that putting a black piece of construction paper on the base helps to reduce any glare and sharpen the image.

A penny is not just a penny (sometimes you get lucky).
This is a good tool to be able to identify and categorize coins.

Life is so much easier now.
Getting old and losing your close vision is unpleasant. I got this for the dual purpose of looking at coins close up and working on circuit boards with surface mount technology (SMT).I took off a star because putting it together, while pretty simple, is not as simple as you might think. It is easy to put it together upside down. Not to mention getting it to show things the way you want. IF you play with it enough you figure it out.The pros out weight the cons. This is a great little gadget for doing exactly what I bought it for. Once you figure it out, the image quality is pretty darn good! Takes good stills to internal memory and micro SD card. It even has a built-in battery so you can go wireless. I never thought I would get one because I thought they were expensive. Then I looked on Amazon, and was amazed how inexpensive these are. Get one. They are worth it even if you are only threading a needle, or just reading the fine print on your phone charger.

This is wonderful for labs
This is great! Working at an archilogical lab where midden sorting can be difficult due to trying to classify small fragments, this helps a lot. A lot of our interns and volunteers have used it instead of using magnifying glasses and they love it. I like it because it's easier to just put material under quickly identify and move on. The magnification is great. The screen size is bigger than I thought. The battery actually lasts about 4 hours which is nice especially if we're in the field. The seller has also sent email about different features and how to use the device to ensure we understand all the features without even asking them. This makes me think that the seller backs their product, they understand the customer, and they're willing to communicate if there is any problems. Very easy to use very easy to use for older and younger individuals. And sometimes they even use it when I'm reading The tiny instructions that come with other way expensive microscopes that are hard to use, not portable, and way too complicated. I really recommend this microscope if you are working in the lab like myself, sorting coins for your collection, sorting plant seeds for your garden, or even just reading that small font and instructions that you need for other products.

The digital microscope is good in some ways but not satisfactory in other ways.
There should be a way to split the rating system between one star for some aspects and multiple stars for other aspects. This digital microscope gets one, three, or five stars as follows:(*) The microscope gets One Star for:- The microscope came with a User Manual with print so small that it can only be read with a microscope.- The wording in the User Manual is not easy to follow. It may have been authored by someone for whom English is a second language.- Worst of all, the microscope did not come with installation software. I have spent several hours searching the internet and installing or updating various drivers and nothing works. I can see the image clearly on the microscope's screen but I cannot download it to my computer. If you have the right driver for my Windows10 laptop PC, I would like to hear about it.(***) The microscope gets Three Stars for:- The field of view is very small. It can show an image the size of a dime butit cuts off part of the image of a penny (U.S. currency).(*****) The microscope gets Five Stars for:- The image and detail are very good on the screen.- The magnification is better than expected.- Charging the battery from the USB port on my laptop works well.- The digital microscope is not expensive.
