A 4/6 would be fine it’s an awesome costume my grandson loved wearing it

Not if you get it in a 2t-3t. As you know a 8 year old boy does not wear toddler sized clothing. Check the size chart to make sure you get the correct size. It really is a cute outfit made well. My 2 year old wore it many times to play in. We were very happy with it.

Q: Will this fold flat enough to pack in a suitcase or in a backpack? We want to use for Disney World halloween party so carry or put in locker.

Yes you can smoosh it flat, we brought it to Disney last year. It’s very cute, my son still wears it.
