The media could not be loaded.  My First order and shipment was lost in the mail. My second replacement order arrived within a reasonable time frame undamaged. Simple yet elegant contemporary design. I mean these bowls could definitely be used in a variety of ways and occations; anything from presenting an entree, soup, to being used as a serving bowl or even to enjoy a big 'ol bowl of Grandpa's Chili!There is definitely ample room to serve some sort of braised protein and starch! ie. Lamb or beef shank over pasta, mashed, rice or spaetzle.These are pretty versatile in function and presentation so Im pretty happy with this purchase and am planning on buying more!UPDATE- March 17th 2020:My concerns with the very thin edges possibly making these bowls easy to damage by the slightest impact was indeed confirmed! Today 4 out of the 6 bowls are chipped and cracked, leaving them with sharp edges and leaking liquids through the cracks. Therefore not a product that I can recommend, and now need to replace!

I am so glad I bought these. I find them extremely versatile for just about anything where there might be sauce served over pasta or rice, stews or salads. In fact, I find myself using them more than my regular dinner plates. The size is perfect for a generous adult serving. The raised swirl design is simple and subtle and worked well with my plain white Amazon basics dinnerware set. The only downside for me is that they come in a set of 6 versus 8 (or 4) because I have 8 place settings of my other dinnerware. I also have to hand wash them because they don't sit well in my dishwasher due to the shape. Too large for the top rack, on the bottom rack they lean and block the water jets.

I love these dishes. they go great with the set I have at home. Needed the bigger bowl for salads, stews, and pasta. Just the perfect size for us. Not too big or small. They work great for many other things too. The colour is inconsistent though. Some are a nice white and some are a softer warm white. I returned 1 set and reordered and got both sets to match a nice warm white. Too bad we can't specify which white we want. The pattern is beautiful in simplicity. Very elegant.
