This is poorly made and the "boar" bristles (IF that's what they actually are) are most likely nylon. I once had a decent boar bristle brush and this is pathetic in comparison. I brushed my hair with it ONCE and a large amount of bristles ended up on the floor. I have mid back length but very fine thin hair that would definitely not cause this to happen if the brush were properly constructed. I say pass on this one, just get a nylon bristle brush or invest more money in one that's actually boar bristles. I also have stupidly small hands and this is just too small even for me... Since I can't return the damn thing i just gave it to my kid. I would recommend it for a child if it weren't so crappy and fall apart-y.
