Brilliant game
I love this game when I fancy playing something that doesn't require much thinking, something to play to relax after a tough day at work. I love the creativity around it, that it uses all sorts of Disney characters (from past and present animations), and that it regularly updates with new things you can buy from the various shops, and new challenges to complete. I think it is brilliant and a joy to play. (I play this on the PS5)

Brilliant game
Bought this for my 5 year old daughter who has recently started gaming and loves her princesses. Having spent a little time showing her how to play it she took to it like a donald duck to water. Soon my wife started playing with my daughter. Now all three of us play it together. Lots of adventures, crafting, baking, unlocking new characters, decorating house, buying furniture etc, hours and hours of fun!Addictive!

Fun cozy game
If you like Disney and life SIM game stuff like farming or crafting you'll probably like this game. It's quite fun and addictive and I've rather enjoyed it at a slower pace of playing. The community is also rather nice from what I've experiencedIt should be noted that at this time of review the playstation version can not be linked and played on other systems. So you are stuck playing your valley on playstation. Where as Xbox switch and pc you can play on any of them with the same charecter and progression by linking your Gameloft id and using cloud save feature.

Feels Dated & More like a Mobile/Tablet Game
This feels out of place as a console game sold for upper-third (but not top-tier) money. Two things really stuck out from the first minute of the game.First, there is the weird lack of voice acting - characters make a distinctive chuckle or mutter the same few words every time they talk while the lines that they're 'really saying' are displayed in text on the screen... which was totally fine 20 years ago when games had to fit onto a CDROM. Here it just comes across as though the developers are profoundly not bothered about the game they've made.Next there is the selling (for real money) of in-game currency which is more fitting for a free-to-play game and feels like this sites the game at the scummier end of the market. It's not the defining feature of the game, but it is a bit... off, and it's noticable.Aside from that, every aspect of the game from its mechanics and gameplay to it's graphics and storytelling is competently executed but unremarkable. The developers are clearly masters of keeping gamers around to 'just do one more little task', but not so great with story or characterisation. All of which just adds to the feeling that you're playing a game that was originally designed to manipulate you into giving it constant attention so that you would end up engaging in micro-transactions and was only turned into a 'real' game at the last minute*. This addictive quality is similar to, but not actually the same, as being a good, engaging game, and the developers seem to have gone all-out for addiction, pushing aside all other aspects of game design as they did so.*(My pet theory that this was originally designed as a hyper-addicitve, free mobile game is how the game makes me feel. I'm not trying to make the case that this was how it was actually developed - although if it turns out to be true, I wouldn't be entirely surprised.)
