Perfect Fit and Strong Start right out of the box!
First off, thank you all for your reviews. Your reviews are why I chose this battery for my Westinghouse 9500. The factory battery lasted almost 5 years, so it was definitely time for a new one.I assume UPS Battery also read your reviews -- my new battery fit as though it just came from Westinghouse! I was fully prepared to follow all your advice in modifying the bracket to seat the battery properly, but it slid right into the housing and the bracket fit perfect. (You'll need to remove the tire, btw...)Once I reassembled everything and went to fire up the genny, there was no hesitation. Beautiful strong and immediate start. Thanks UPS Battery! I'll definitely keep this in my faves to recommend and buy again! Hurricane season is almost upon us yet again down here in SW Florida; thanks to this little beauty, I am now confident that our generator will start as expected.

Westinghouse 9500 battery replacement.
For those looking for the replacement for the Westinghouse 9500, look no further. Yes, it is slightly taller than the old one, but all you have to do is turn the brace around backward so the problem piece faces outward! It isn’t in the way and won’t hurt anything at all. Tighten it properly and the battery will not move. SIMPLE!! NO NEED TO ALTER BRACE!

Taller than original
Taller than the original battery. I had to modify the bracket holding it in by cutting off the part that wraps over the top. Other wise, after install, it started up on second try and has worked as expected. It will be the one I buy again when the time comes for another replacement.
