Works great
Works great. I can plug my Wii U into a portable power station very easily with this and play outside for example. It also allows me to more easily move my console between rooms, as a relatively cheap brick is all that is needed for each room. I measured with a usb c tester and the Wii U will pretty consistently draws about 32-33w, regardless of if you're in the menus or playing a game, therefore I would use with a 15v3a charger (any chargers that claim to output at least 45w should be good)

Get this now!
To start off you need a usb c pd charger. I use UGreen 200w charger, (you will not need this much power, I do because I use usb c for both wii, and wii u, in addition to other items.) I do recommend Ugreen line of chargers to pair with this.Pros:Removing bulky cables, and oem chargers for sleek usb c cables.Cons:While this cable is relatively cheap you do need to pair this with a usb c charger. So total cost is much higher than an aftermarket power cord.Great quality though, no issues thus far. Will update for any issues in the future.

Only works with console.
For this to work, you need a USB-C "fast charging" power brick. It is only meant to work with the console itself, not the WiiU gamepad. With that out of the way, it powers the WiiU console itself just fine. If you need a replacement or just want to drop the bulky brick, this is for you.I wish it came with a fast-charging brick, but at least the price is in line with it just being the cable.

Ditch the power brick
Lately I've been trying to convert as many of my devices to USB C power as possible. This cable is a huge space saver if you have a Wii U. I was able to get rid of the giant power brick and power my Wii U from a GaN charger with no issue. Combine this with a USB cable for the tablet dock and I can power both units from 1 charger and was able to remove 2 huge power bricks in my setup. Highly recommend.
