Sweet and satisfying
These were my tv treat, I could eat one or two watching tv and having a cup of tea. They were delicious and I’ve ordered more. Perfect for a diabetic nibble

Lovely but expensive
This is a review of LOCCO Protein Rich Meringues, although the item description refers to Locco cocoa. The meringues are enclosed in a plastic-wrapped cardboard tray inside a cardboard box and I was impressed to see that none of them were smashed. They are small and each meringue only contains 1 calorie so they are a guilt-free treat on their own. Being small makes them so versatile and I topped my drinks and desserts with them.I think £11.99 (at the time of review) is far too expensive though, however, if I was on a strict diet I would consider ordering them again.

Overpriced, over “engineered” meringues.
LOCCO Protein Rich Meringues Only 1 kcal per serving Great as cake decoration No added sugar Fat-free High-fibre Snack Vanilla Flavour : the ingredients lists: sweeteners, inulin, egg albumin, potato starch, flavouring, thickeners and an antioxidant as the ingredients. The sweeteners used (erythritol and sucralose) are a good alternative to regular sugar. As for the egg albumin is just a fancy way of saying egg whites. (NOTE: the listing information puts this item in the Vegan category - this ingredient alone makes it NOT Vegan friendly)Then the starch and thickeners which is probably needed to help each one hold its shape. Then getting down to the crux of this item and over inflated claims for high fibre and protein:~ The inulin seems pretty useless unless you want more fibre in your “desserts” and stating “high fibre” when there is 22.6g per 100g -or- 0.3g per serving (0.15g per piece), the whole pack is 28g so the fibre is negligible.~ There is no identifiable additives that would increase the protein content other than that of simple egg whites. The pack states 13.6g Protein per 100g of product - or- 0.2g per serving (0.1g per piece). Again a negligible amount in the whole 28g.To get any discernible amounts for both fibre and protein you would have to consume at least 3 and half boxes of these, and then you might end up with the well known issues from the sweeteners used.Overpriced at £11.65 per box for 40 mini meringues, weirdly gummy when you start chewing them and although they claim to be vanilla flavoured they have a strange after taste that must come from the inulin because regular erythritol and sucralose doesn’t give me that.

Guilt-free indulgence! 😋
These meringues are fantastic! They're light, airy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I love adding them to yogurt and fruit salads, or just having them as a little treat. They're much lower in calories than normal meringues, which is great. It's nice to find a delicious snack that's not bad for you.
