I can definitely get 4-20 out of this, but the issue is it has an aggressive auto shut off feature. There is a settings menu where you can shut it off, but the instructions are incorrect, telling you to press the backlight button instead of the waveform step button. Even then, you will maybe get a total of 30 minutes of signal generation out of this before the tiny triple-AAA batteries need replaced and it does not have a way to plug it in for AC power. I don't think it's worth the $100.

Industrial use for circuit design, calibration, and Program testing. I was disappointed when I realized this only puts out 1ma at 10 vdc. A way better solution is the SG-004a. For a few dollars more, you get 10x the functionality! Sent my RuoShui back.

The 420mA works great for testing input cards out in the field. It irritates me that this meter is DC because I usually have to test for incoming 120v power. Due to this I find I just use this as a bench meter and not out in the field troubleshooting.

Great for testing different current settings, easy fit in your pocket or car console and pull out when needed. I’m always trouble shooting loose grounds and this tool makes my life so much easier.
